David Ross (football Coach)
David Ross (born November 18, 1959) is a former American football player and coach. He was most recently an assistant coach for the UTSA Roadrunners football team. Ross served as the head football coach at Bacone College from 2001 to 2005, compiling a record of 27–26. He has also served as head football coach at the junior college and high school levels. Coaching career Early years Ross began his coaching career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Junior College in Miami, Oklahoma in 1982 after graduating from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Missouri. Ross was then hired by Jimmy Johnson (Oklahoma State, Miami, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins) in 1984 where his association with Larry Coker began. Coker is now the head coach at UTSA. Cornerbacks
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. Muskogee () is the thirteenth-largest city in Oklahoma and the county seat of Muskogee County. Home to Bacone College, it lies approximately southeast of Tulsa. Bacone Warriors
Bacone College, formerly Bacone Indian University, is a private tribal college in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Founded in 1880 as the Indian University by missionary Almon C. Bacone, it was originally affiliated with the mission arm of what is now American Baptist Churches USA. Renamed as Bacone College in the early 20th century, it is the oldest continuously operated institution of higher education in Oklahoma. The liberal arts college has had strong historic ties to several tribal nations, including the Muscogee and Cherokee. Larry Edward Coker (born June 23, 1948) is a former American football coach and player. He previously served as the head coach of the University of Miami and the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).
