David Ronson
David Ronson is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played for Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, Manly-Warringah and Balmain Tigers, Balmain in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition. Playing career Ronson, a Belrose Eagles junior, made his first grade debut for Manly against Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Canterbury-Bankstown in Round 16 1985 at the Sydney Cricket Ground scoring a try during a 16–12 loss. Ronson went on to become a regular starter for Manly on the wing and played nearly every game in 1986. Ronson played 24 games for Manly in 1987 as the club reached the grand final against the Canberra Raiders. Manly-Warringah went on to win the premiership 18-8 after leading for the entire game. Ronson played on the wing during the match. The grand final was also the last one to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. They compete in the NRL Telstra Premiership, as well as competitions facilitated by the New South Wales Rugby League, including the Canterbury Cup NSW, the Jersey Flegg Cup, Harvey Norman Women's Premiership, Tarsha Gale Cup, S. Belrose Eagles
The Belrose Eagles are a rugby league team based in the suburb of Belrose in Sydney's Northern Beaches. Founded in 1955, the club has fielded both junior and senior teams in the Manly-Warringah district competitions and since 2013 the semi-professional Sydney Shield competition in NSW, Australia. Their colours are red and gold. After returning to the A Grade competition in 2009, the Belrose Eagles were 2009 Premiers. In 2013, Belrose joined the Sydney Shield competition and in their inaugural year claimed the premiership. Belrose were also Premiers in the A2 Manly Warringah Rugby League Competition that year.
