Dave Riley
David Michael Riley (July 30, 1960 – December 24, 2019) was an American musician who was the bassist in the punk rock band Big Black from 1985 until the band's dissolution in 1987. Riley moved to Chicago in 1982 from Detroit, where he had worked as a recording engineer. He played on Big Black's two studio albums, '' Atomizer'' (1986) and ''Songs About Fucking'' (1987), as well as their ''Headache'' EP (1987), several singles, and two live albums. After Big Black, Riley recorded tracks with several other artists before being incapacitated by a stroke in 1993, losing the ability to walk. He became a blogger, and published a book in 2006 titled ''Blurry and Disconnected: Tales of Sink-or-Swim Nihilism''. He died in late 2019 from squamous cell carcinoma. David Riley (born August 2, 1967) is a former American football quarterback who played two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Cincinnati Rockers and Milwaukee Mustangs. Riley was a three-sport standout (basketball, football, baseball) at Valley View High School in Germantown, Ohio. He set school records (since surpassed) for single season and career touchdown passes and passing yards. His single game record of 409 passing yards still stands. Riley played collegiately at Ball State University. As a senior, he was selected as the MAC Offensive Player of the Year, as well as the recipient of the Vern Smith Leadership Award The Mid-American Conference football awards are given annually by the Mid-American Conference (MAC) at the conclusion of each college football season. David Riley (born November 28, 1988) is an American college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Eastern Washington Eagles men's basketball team. Playing career Riley grew up in Palo Alto, California. He played college basketball at Whitworth University under Jim Hayford. While starring for the Pirates, Riley was a three-time All-Northwest Conference first-team selection and finished his career ranked fourth all-time in points with 1,664 along with making four NCAA Division III men's basketball tournament appearances, including two Sweet Sixteens and an Elite Eight. Coaching career When Hayford accepted the head coaching position at Eastern Washington, Riley followed as a graduate assistant coach. David Riley (footballer)
David Sidney Riley (born 8 December 1960) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder and striker, making 190 league appearances in a nine-year career in the Football League, scoring 40 goals. He began his career at Nottingham Forest in 1983, and had loan spells at Darlington and Peterborough United, before joining Port Vale for £20,000 in October 1987. In March 1990 he was sold on to Peterborough United for £40,000, and helped the club to two successive promotions into the Second Division. He later played for Kettering Town, Mount Albert-Ponsonby (in New Zealand), Boston United, and King's Lynn. Career Nottingham Forest Riley played for Shepshed Charterhouse and Keyworth United, before leaving his job as a sales representative to turn professional with Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest at the age of 23 in June 1983.
