David Richardson (born April 25, 1957) is an American politician who served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives for the 113th district from 2012 to 2018. Richardson was elected as a Miami Beach commissioner in November 2019. Early life and education Richardson was born in Houston, Texas, and moved to Florida in 1968, where he attended Lyman High School (Florida), Lyman High School in Longwood, Florida, Longwood. After graduation, he attended the University of Central Florida, where he first received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1979, then his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in accountancy in 1983. David Richardson (1916–2005) was an American journalist and United States Army soldier. A member of Merrill's Marauders, he became famous for his behind the lines coverage of their combat exploits during the Burma Campaign of World War II. David John Leyburn Richardson (born 14 March 1946) is an Australian Anglican priest, former cathedral dean and director of the Anglican Centre in Rome. Early life and ministry David Richardson was born in Townsville, Queensland, but spent most of his childhood in England in North Devon and then the Midlands where his father worked as a priest. David John Richardson (born August 1964) is a British academic who is currently Vice-Chancellor of the University of East Anglia. Biography David Richardson was born in Whitley Bay near Newcastle upon Tyne. He was educated at the University of Keele (BSc, Biochemistry) and the University of Birmingham (PhD, 1988), and undertook post-doctoral research at the University of Oxford from 1988 to 1991. David Richardson Medal
The David Richardson Medal is awarded by the Optical Society (formerly the Optical Society of America) to recognize contributions to optical engineering, primarily in the commercial and industrial sector. The award was first made in 1966 to its namesake David J. Richardson. He received it for distinctive contributions to the ruling and replicating of gratings, used to determine the transfer functions of lenses. There is a prize associated with the medal. Richardson received a graduate degree in spectroscopy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the mid-1930s. He was hired by Bausch and Lomb in 1947 to establish a grating and scale-ruling laboratory that became the world's leader in diffraction gratings.
