David Quinn (actor)
David Quinn is an American actor, entrepreneur and teacher, currently serving as the IB Diploma Coordinator in The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme at a high school in New York City. In 2014, he founded The High School Counselor Challenge, a national social-media campaign with the goal of getting more public-school counselors from underserved communities to one of the admission profession's premier gatherings: The annual NACAC conference. As an educator, Quinn is a 2009 Recipient of the US Presidential Scholars Program's Teacher Recognition Award. In 2013, Quinn was honored by Northwestern University as one of the Distinguished Secondary Teachers in America. In 2013, he was selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of the Year and named one of the top ten educators in America. David Quinn (artist, Born 1970)
David Quinn is an Irish artist and designer who was born in County Galway in 1970 and grew up in Sligo. He studied art at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and painted there for a number of years after graduating before finally settling in County Mayo where he currently lives and works. He is best known for his atmospheric, figurative, paintings which draw on the Mayo countryside and its vernacular architecture and gardens. The painting entitled "Grotto" is an example of his work. His paintings are represented in Irish and international collections including The Irish Museum of Modern Art, The European Parliament, Allied Irish Banks, AIB and the Office of Public Works. David Quinn (born 1959) is a British bird artist. He won the 1987 Bird Illustrator of the Year Award of '' British Birds'' magazine. His illustrations have appeared in several works, including the ''New World Warblers'' and ''Tits, Nuthatches & Treecreepers'' volumes of the Helm Identification Guides series, as well as accompanying identification papers in ''British Birds'' magazine. David Quinn is based in Cheshire, where he moved to in 1983. He attended Salford Grammar School, then Manchester Polytechnic, where he graduated with a BA with first class honours in graphic design in 1982. Amongst other publications in which his illustrations are featured is the third edition of the ''National Geographic Field Guide to the Birds of North America'', as well as the ''Helm Identification Guide to New World Warblers''. David Quinn is an Irish social and religious commentator. From 1996 to 2003, he was the editor at ''The Irish Catholic''. He served as the religious and social affairs correspondent for the ''Irish Independent'' from 2003 to 2005. He has often appeared on Irish current affairs programmes. Since 2007, Quinn has been the Director of the Iona Institute advocacy group. Quinn has campaigned against the liberalisation of Irish abortion laws, the introduction of same-sex marriage and the legalisation of assisted suicide. He is a member of the Dublin branch of Legatus, which promotes Catholic values in corporate business, for those who meet stringent qualification criteria. David Quinn (born July 30, 1966) is an American professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL) and United States men's national hockey team. He was formerly head coach of the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL), for 3 seasons; the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League, an assistant coach for the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, and the head men's hockey coach at Boston University. He was formally inducted into the Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame in 2021.
