David Pugh (comics)
David Pugh is a British comics artist best known for his work on '' Sláine'' at '' 2000 AD''. Early life and career Pugh attended Art College at Brighton and Kingston upon Thames. On leaving, he joined the American company Pier 1 Imports, as a company artist and photographer, he worked with the London-based advertising agency Brockie, Haslam and Allen. After two years he returned to Wales, to work for the Thomson Organization as a visualizer in various advertising and promotional departments. His first published comic strip was "''Looking Glass Library"'' in the Thomson weekly newspaper the ''Merthyr Express'' in 1976. In 1979, he also created Captain Classified: Star Ranger for the weekly '' Glamorgan Star'', it was this work that brought him to the attention of Pat Mills and the beginning of his professional comics career. Keith Watson (artist)
Keith Watson (Ormesby, 1 February 1935 – Cheam, 9 April 1994) was a History of the British comic, British comics artist most famous for his work on Dan Dare and TV Century 21. Career Watson joined the studio team of Frank Hampson working on the ''Dan Dare'' strip in Eagle (comic), Eagle in 1958. After Hampson left the strip the following year, Watson worked on ''Captain Condor'' for the rival comic Lion (comic), Lion. He later returned to Dan Dare, becoming the sole artist. Watson worked on the Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons strip in TV Century 21, and the Joe 90 strip in the comic of the same name, and later in the merged "TV21 and Joe 90". He also wrote some of the later episode. During the 1970s, he worked for Dutch comics (Roel Dijkstra) In 1989, he revived the original Dare for the new Eagle comic, which until then had been publishing tales of a descendant. The ''Daily Mirror'' is a British national daily tabloid. Founded in 1903, it is owned by parent company Reach plc. From 1985 to 1987, and from 1997 to 2002, the title on its masthead was simply ''The Mirror''. Scorer (comics)
In cricket, a scorer is someone appointed to record all runs scored, all wickets taken and, where appropriate, the number of overs bowled. In professional games, in compliance with Law 3 of the ''Laws of Cricket'', two scorers are appointed, most often one provided by each team. The scorers have no say in whether runs are scored, wickets taken or overs bowled. This is the job of the umpires on the field of play, who signal to the scorers in cases of ambiguity such as when runs are to be given as extras rather than credited to the batsmen, or when the batsman is to be awarded a boundary 4 or 6. So that the umpire knows that they have seen each signal, the scorers are required to immediately acknowledge it. While it is possible to keep score using a pencil and plain paper, scorers often use pre-printed scoring books, and these are commercially available in many different styles.
