David Christopher Pringuer (born 1972), is a musician, record producer and sound engineer from London, England. He is a member of the band The Mighty Roars signed to (One Little Indian Records) and Bearhat. He regularly collaborates with David Turin and Kate Garner. The Mighty Roars
The Mighty Roars are an English three piece alternative rock band from London signed to One Little Indian Records. The group won Xfm's Unsigned band competition in 2005 and released their debut album, ''Swine & Cockerel'' in 2007. Background Formed by David Pringuer (drums, vocals) and Lara Granqvist (bass, guitar, vocals) in 2004 after they met Martin Pilkington (guitar, vocals) through an advert in ''NME'' and began gigging in London. In 2005 they were invited to open that year's Isle of Wight Festival which gained the band much publicity. The same year the band won Xfm's unsigned competition and were given day time radio play-listings. One Little Independent Records (formerly One Little Indian Records) is an English independent record label. It was set up in 1985 by members of various anarcho-punk bands, and managed by former Flux of Pink Indians bassist Derek Birkett. In the 1990s it set up a number of subsidiary labels. David Edmund Turin (born 8 September 1965), known as Emit Bloch, is an American songwriter and musician. Background Emit Bloch is a singer, songwriter and musician known for field recordings and lo-fi music production. His parents are George L. Turin, a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley, and Helen Elizabeth Turin, the daughter of a Utah cattle rancher. Bloch was raised in Berkeley, California, as well as Layton, Utah, and is related to Christopher Layton, a prominent 19th Century Mormon pioneer. Career Bloch has issued several notable collections, with his 2010 release '' Dictaphones Vol. 1'' garnering 5/5 stars in UNCUT, the magazine calling Bloch an "exceptional songwriter" and the release "utterly remarkable", as well as frequent radio play on BBC stations when it was issued on One Little Independent records. Kate Garner
Kathryn Mary Garner (born 9 July 1954) is a British photographer, fine artist and singer. Early life Born in Wigan, Lancashire to Anne Philomena Shannon and George Sandeman Garner, a factory worker and a sailor, Garner was expelled from high school at the age of 16, and became a runaway who joined The Children of God. To escape the grasp of the cult she hitchhiked from London through Eastern Europe to India in 1970, where she lived for a year as a traveller before being located by her parents. She attended art school at Blackpool in northern England; later she moved to London, where she began to both photograph and model for up and coming magazines such as '' The Face'' and '' i-D''. The film was part of the "World Cinema Documentary Competition" at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Synopsis Filmmaker Chris Waitt sets out on a quest to find out why his romantic relationships have ended in complete failure. Tracking down almost all of his former lovers, he finds a general resentment, stemming from his constant unreliability. He then sets out to test different approaches that will prepare him for true love, and a lasting relationship. Reception Reviews of the film were mixed, with Rotten Tomatoes giving the film 56%.
