David Lee Palmer (born November 19, 1972) is a former American football player who played as a wide receiver and return specialist in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He played college football at the University of Alabama, where he was an All-American and a member of Alabama's 1992 national championship team. A second-round pick in the 1994 NFL Draft, he played professionally for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. David Palmer (baseball)
David William Palmer, Jr. (born August 19, 1957) is a former professional baseball pitcher who played in the Major Leagues in parts of ten seasons spanning 1978–1989, with the Montreal Expos, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, and Detroit Tigers. Early life Palmer was a star pitcher for the Glens Falls High School Indians baseball team until he graduated in 1976. He pitched alongside fellow future Major League Baseball pitcher Dave LaPoint. Montreal Palmer was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 21st round (489th overall) of the 1976 amateur entry draft. He pitched in the Expos organization until 1985. Although he made his major league debut in 1978, he pitched only a handful of minor league games in 1981 due to injuries, and had to fight his way back from Triple-A in 1982, where he made nine minor league starts. David Troy Palmer (born 28 June 1976 in Lithgow, New South Wales) is a retired professional squash player from Australia. He won the Super Series finals in 2002, the World Open in 2002 and 2006; the British Open in 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2008; and the Australian Open in 2008. David Palmer is an American vocalist, songwriter, and photographer, best known as a former member of Steely Dan and as the lyricist of the Carole King number two hit, "Jazzman". Musical career Palmer grew up in the New Jersey communities of Warren Township and Watchung and attended Watchung Hills Regional High School. His first band was the Myddle Class, formed in 1964 under the initial name The King Bees while members were still in high school. As the Myddle Class, the band performed at such clubs as the Night Owl in Greenwich Village, and released several 45s on the Tomorrow record label before disbanding in 1969. Palmer next formed the Quinaimes Band with several Myddle Class members, which recorded an album for Elektra Records before disbanding shortly thereafter. At the insistence of ABC Records executives, Palmer joined Steely Dan in an early incarnation in 1972. Dave Richard Palmer (born May 31, 1934) is a retired United States Army Lieutenant General who served as the 53rd Superintendent of the United States Military Academy (1986–1991), military historian and author, and former President of Walden University. A 1956 graduate of West Point, he served two tours in the Vietnam War and numerous command positions during the height of the Cold War. He taught courses at both West Point and the Vietnamese National Military Academy. Early life and education Palmer was born in Ada, Oklahoma, on May 31, 1934.
