David Palm
David James Palm (born 7 July 1958) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond Football Club, Richmond in the Victorian Football League (1897–1989), Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1980s. Palm played at both Norwood Football Club, Norwood and West Perth Football Club, West Perth before joining Francis Bourke's Richmond in 1983. A tough and aggressive defender, he appeared in all possible 22 games in his debut season. Against Essendon Football Club, Essendon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, MCG in 1985 he kicked five goals and in 1987 he had perhaps his best season, averaging 16 disposals a game. In 1989, Palm left Richmond for Springvale Football Club, Springvale and was selected to represent the Victorian Football Association, VFA at Interstate matches in Australian rules football, interstate football that year. The West Perth Football Club, nicknamed the Falcons, is an Australian rules football club located in Joondalup, Western Australia. West Perth competes in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW) and is the oldest existing Australian rules football club in Western Australia.
