David Oliver (actor)
David Oliver (January 31, 1962 – November 12, 1992) was an American stage, film and television actor. Career Oliver was one of eight children born to Pat and William Oliver in Concord, California. He began his acting career in 1982. From 1983 to 1985, Oliver played the role of Perry Hutchins on the daytime soap opera '' Another World''. In 1986, he played the role of Sam Gardner in the miniseries ''A Year in the Life''. He starred as Chad Anderson in the soap '' Santa Barbara'' (1986). The miniseries then became a regular series in the fall of 1987 on NBC for one season. Oliver's wife in both the miniseries and regular series was played by Sarah Jessica Parker. He also appeared in several stage roles including the San Diego Civic Light Opera's productions of '' The Unsinkable Molly Brown'' and ''Li'l Abner''. David Oliver is a British physician specialising in the geriatric medicine and acute general internal medicine. He was President of the British Geriatrics Society from 2014 to 2016. He is Visiting Professor of Medicine for Older People in the School of Community and Health Sciences at City University London and a King's Fund Senior Visiting Fellow. He was formerly the UK Department of Health National Clinical Director for Older People's Services from 2009 to 2013. David Oliver (hurdler)
David Oliver (born April 24, 1982), is a retired American hurdling athlete. As a professional athlete, he competed in the 110 meter hurdles event outdoor and the 60 meter hurdles event indoors. He is the former 110 meter hurdles champion winning the gold medal at the World Championships in Moscow in 2013 with a time of 13 seconds. He won the bronze medal in the 2008 Olympic Games and won another bronze at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships. He was the American record holder in the 110 meter hurdles. Oliver is a four-time U.S. Champion, having won indoor and outdoor titles in 2008, a second outdoor title at the 2010 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and third outdoor title at the 2011 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. David Lee Oliver (born April 17, 1971) is a Canadian assistant coach for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL) and a former professional ice hockey player who played several seasons in the NHL. David Oliver (January 8, 1942 – June 6, 1982) was an American soul singer best known for the quiet storm radio hit, "Ms" as well as his composition " Friends & Strangers", which was covered by Ronnie Laws in 1977. David Jacob Oliver (born April 7, 1951) is a former infielder and coach in Major League Baseball, and is currently a member of the scouting department for the Kansas City Royals. Primarily a second baseman as a professional player, he batted left-handed and threw right-handed, stood tall and weighed . He attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. While playing for the Mustangs from 1970–73, Oliver collected 226 hits, batted .320 and with 706 at bats ranked second to fellow Mustang Ozzie Smith. Oliver originally signed with the Cleveland Indians in 1973 after being selected in the third round of the June draft, and his only trial in the Major Leagues consisted of seven games with the 1977 Indians.
