David Middleton (mariner)
David Middleton (died 1615) was a merchant and sea-captain in the service of the English East India Company who made several voyages by sea to the Far East. Life and career He was the younger brother of John and Sir Henry Middleton and in 1601 jointly commanded a voyage to the West Indies. In 1604 he went to the East Indies with his brother Henry, as second captain of the '' Red Dragon'', and is mentioned as having conducted the negotiations with the native kings of Ternate and Tidore. He returned with Henry in May 1606, and on 12 March 1606–7 sailed from Tilbury as captain of the ''Consent'', one of the ships of the third voyage under William Keeling. He had with him as master John Davis of Limehouse. The ''Consent'' lost sight of her consorts in the Channel, and, as no rendezvous had been given, went on by herself to the Cape of Good Hope. David Barrie Middleton (born 13 October 1965) is a former English cricketer. Middleton was a right-handed batsman who played primarily as a wicketkeeper. He was born at Bloxwich, Staffordshire. Dave Middleton
David Hinton Middleton (November 23, 1933 – December 29, 2007) was an American football end, wide receiver, and halfback. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Middleton played college football as a halfback for the Auburn Tigers in 1953 and 1954. He was also the 1955 Southeastern Conference champion in the 100-yard dash. He was selected by the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 1955 NFL Draft and played for the Lions in the National Football League (NFL) from 1955 to 1960. As a rookie, he ranked third in the NFL with 44 receptions, and he was the Lions' leading receiver in 1955, 1956, and 1958. He won an NFL championship with the Lions in 1957 and caught a touchdown pass in the 1957 NFL Championship Game. He concluded his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings in their inaugural season of 1961. In seven NFL seasons, he totaled 183 receptions, 2,966 receiving yards, and 19 touchdowns. David Middleton Greig
David Middleton Greig FRSE Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, FRCSE LLD TD (1864-4 May 1936) was a Scottish surgeon who worked for most of his career at Dundee Royal Infirmary. He developed an interest in diseases of bone and came to be regarded as an international authority on the subject. He wrote numerous papers on skeletal abnormalities and Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome (first described in 1926) is named after him. Over the course of his career he amassed a large collection of skulls demonstrating various bony abnormalities. After retiring from surgical practice he became conservator of the Museum of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh at Surgeons' Hall. He donated 250 skulls to Surgeons' Hall Museum, where some remain on display as part of the Greig Collection. David Stephen Middleton (born June 25, 1961), known as The Cable Guy, is an American former police officer, kidnapper, murderer, and suspected serial killer. Convicted and sentenced to death for the murders of two women in Nevada committed in 1994 and 1995, he is also the prime suspect in at least one additional murder in Colorado and rapes committed while serving in the Miami-Dade Police Department.
