David McGreevy
David Martin James McGreevy nicknamed "Bonzo" (born 24 October 1985) is a former Gaelic footballer who played for Kingdom Kerry Gaels and London GAA as a corner back. He is originally from Teconnaught, County Down, and moved to England in 2009, before returning to Northern Ireland in 2018. McGreevy was part of the team that reached the 2013 Connacht Senior Football Championship Final on 21 July, losing out to Mayo 5-11 0-10. They went on to lose in Round 4 of All-Ireland Senior Championship 1-17 1–10 against Cavan on 27 July at Croke Park. Gaelic Football
Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). In the game, two types of scores are possible: points and goals. A point is awarded for kicking or hand-passing the ball over the crossbar , signalled by the umpire raising a white flag. Kingdom Kerry Gaels
The Kingdom Kerry Gaels GFC are a Gaelic football club based in Finchley in North London. The club was formed in 1959 and are one of the most successful clubs in London GAA. The club currently has both a men's team and a ladies team that compete in their respective London Senior championships History Men's Team Kingdom GAA club London was founded in 1959 by Michael Walsh, Josie O'Connell, Bill Cremins, Sean and Brendan Kerrisk and Jerome Spillane (uncle of Pat Spillane). The London County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Coiste Londain) or London GAA is one of the county boards outside Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in London. The county board is also responsible for the London county teams and schools. 2013 Connacht Senior Football Championship
The 2013 Connacht Senior Football Championship was that year's installment of the annual Connacht Senior Football Championship held under the auspices of the Connacht GAA. It was won by Mayo who defeated London in a final, which, historically, was the Exiles' first time to reach a provincial decider. London's appearance in the Connacht final followed a remarkable turn of events. Having not won a Connacht championship match since 1977, they first overcame Sligo in their quarter-final meeting. Croke Park ( ga, Páirc an Chrócaigh, ) is a Gaelic games stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Named after Archbishop Thomas Croke, it is referred to as Croker by GAA fans and locals. It serves as both the principal national stadium of Ireland and headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).
