David McGill (born 24 October 1981) is an Irish retired footballer. Playing career Youth and college McGill played his entire youth career from Under 8's and up with Manortown United. With Manortown, he won both league and cup titles as well as being named the Club Man of the Year while with the Under 16's. At Charlotte He eventually decided to attend college in the US, enrolling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2000. McGill made an instant impact with the Charlotte 49ers, appearing in 18 games, starting 17 of those. He scored 1 goal, assisted on 7 others, en route to score 9 points on the season. His 7 assists lead the team. His second season with the team in 2001 wasn't as productive, with him playing in 20 games while only starting 14 of them. David McGill (born 28 May 1960) is a Canadian former professional soccer player who played in the North American Soccer League between 1979 and 1981 for the Vancouver Whitecaps, Detroit Express and Washington Diplomats. McGill also earned four caps for the Canadian under-20 side in 1979, and participated at the 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship. In 1986, he played for the Edmonton Brick Men in the Western Soccer Alliance. David MacGill, McGill or Makgill, Lord Cranston Riddell (1532–1595) was a 16th-century Scottish judge and Senator of the College of Justice and Lord Advocate of Scotland from 1582 to 1595. Life He was born around 1532 in or near Edinburgh, the son of James MacGill of Nesbit, an Edinburgh burgess, and Provost of Edinburgh 1570/71 and his wife, Helen Wardlaw. He was born in the family home of Oxenfoord Castle on the Cranstoun Riddel (Cranston Riddell) estate south-east of Dalkeith. His eldest brother was James MacGill, Lord Rankeillor. In June 1582 he was elected a Senator of the College of Justice and took the title Lord Cranston Riddell. He died in or near Edinburgh on 13 February 1595. His place on the Senate was taken by his eldest son, also David MacGill in 1597, who continued the title Lord Cranston Riddell, causing some confusion between father and son.
