David McCormack (basketball)
David Joseph McCormack (born July 2, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for Galatasaray S.K. (men's basketball), Galatasaray Ekmas of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL) and the Basketball Champions League (BCL). He played college basketball at the University of Kansas where he won the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship Game, 2022 National Championship. Early life and high school career McCormack was born in The Bronx, The Bronx, New York and moved to Virginia at age two. He grew up playing American football, football and basketball, as well as taking part in shot put and discus throw. McCormack played basketball for Norfolk Academy in Norfolk, Virginia before transferring to Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Virginia), Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. Center (basketball)
The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. Xavier Musketeers Men's Basketball
The Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represents Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The school's team currently competes in the Big East Conference, and are coached by Sean Miller. Xavier has appeared in the NCAA tournament 28 times, 16 times in the 18 tournaments between 2001 and 2018. On March 11, 2018, Xavier earned its first ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is an amateur sports organization based in the United States. Armando Linwood Bacot Jr. (born March 6, 2000) is an American college basketball player for the North Carolina Tar Heels of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The shot put is a track and field event involving "putting" (throwing) a heavy spherical ball—the ''shot''—as far as possible. The shot put competition for men has been a part of the modern Olympics since their revival in 1896, and women's competition began in 1948.
