David Malukas
David Malukas (born September 27, 2001) is a Lithuanian-American race car driver who competes in the IndyCar Series for Dale Coyne Racing. Career Lower formula In 2016 and the early part of 2017, Malukas competed in the Formula 4 UAE Championship for Rasgaira Motorsports. He did not contest the full season but still finished sixth in the championship. Malukas would move to ADAC Formula 4 to compete for Motopark in 2017. There he would end up finishing nineteenth in the championship. U.S. F2000 National Championship Along with his efforts in ADAC Formula 4, Malukas would compete in the U.S. F2000 National Championship in 2017 for BN Racing. HMD Motorsports (formerly BN Racing) is an American racing team in the IndyCar Series and Indy Lights series. The team is owned by Henry Malukas. The 2017 ADAC Formula 4 Championship was the third season of the ADAC Formula 4. It began on 29 April at Oschersleben and finished on 24 September at Hockenheim after seven triple header rounds. Teams and drivers In December 2016, ten teams and twenty eight cars were confirmed for the 2017 season: Race calendar and results All rounds, except the second Oschersleben round were part of ADAC GT Masters weekends. The 2016–17 Formula 4 UAE Championship was the inaugural season of the Formula 4 UAE Championship, a motor racing series for the United Arab Emirates regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations, and organised and promoted by the Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) and AUH Motorsports. It began on 28 October 2016 at the Yas Marina Circuit and finished on 11 March 2017 at the same venue, after a 3-race non-championship opening round and 18 championship races held across five rounds, all of them held at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai Autodrome. Josef Nicolai Newgarden (born December 22, 1990) is an American race car driver who competes in the IndyCar Series full-time for Team Penske. He is the 2017 and 2019 IndyCar Series Champion and 2011 Indy Lights champion. Career Karting Newgarden's first race vehicle was a motorized scooter purchased at a skate shop in Hendersonville, Tennessee. In 2001, Newgarden competed in events across the country. After a year of this, his father purchased a kart. When he was 13, he and his family ventured outside of Tennessee to find a competitive kart racing environment. This led Newgarden to a kart racing facility in New Castle, Indiana that had recently been launched by IndyCar driver Mark Dismore.
