David Lowney
David Lowney (born 8 October 1997) is an Irish hurler who plays as a right corner-back for club side Clonakilty, divisional side Carbery, university side University College Cork and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. Playing career University College Cork On 23 February 2019, Lowney was a substitute for University College Cork when they faced Mary Immaculate College in the Fitzgibbon Cup final. He was introduced in the 52nd minute in the 2-21 to 0-13 victory. Lowney played in a second successive Fitzgibbon Cup final on 12 February 2020. Lining out at right corner-back, he ended the game with a second successive winners' medal after the 0-18 to 2-11 defeat of the Institute of Technology, Carlow. Clonakilty
Clonakilty (; ), sometimes shortened to Clon, is a town in County Cork, Ireland. The town is located at the head of the tidal Clonakilty Bay. The rural hinterland is used mainly for dairy farming. 2014 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship
The 2014 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship is the premier "knockout" competition for under-18 competitors who play the game of Gaelic football in Ireland. The games are organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The 2014 series of games started in May with the majority of the games played during the summer months. The All-Ireland Minor Football Final took place on 21 September in Croke Park, Dublin, preceding the Senior Game. In 2014 the title sponsor was Electric Ireland. Conor O'Sullivan (hurler)
Conor O'Sullivan (born 8 March 1989) is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Sarsfields and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a left corner-back. Playing career Glanmire Community College O'Sullivan first came to prominence as a hurler with Glanmire Community College. Having played at every grade, he was a midfielder on the college's senior team that played in the Harty Cup. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Munster Senior Hurling League
The Munster Senior Hurling League (known in some years as the Munster Hurling Cup) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 2016 for the top inter-county teams in the province of Munster in Ireland. The series of games are played during January. The Munster Senior Hurling League is effectively a pre-season tournament. 2017 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2017 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 54th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 24 May 2017 and ended on 9 September 2017. Waterford entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Cork in the Munster semi-final. Meath fielded a team in the championship for the first time in several seasons. On 9 September 2017, Limerick won the championship following a 0-17 to 0-11 defeat of Kilkenny in the All-Ireland final. Chris O'Leary (hurler)
Christopher O'Leary (born 1 May 1997) is an Irish hurler who currently plays as a centre-back for the Dublin senior team. Born in Innishannon, County Cork, O'Leary first played competitive hurling at Hamilton High School. Here he captained the senior hurling team in the Harty Cup. O'Leary later lined out with University College Cork. O'Leary first appeared for the Valley Rovers club at juvenile and underage levels as a dual player, winning a county under-21 championship medal as a Gaelic footballer in 2015. He later joined the club's senior team while he also plays for divisional team Carrigdhoun. O'Leary was seventeen when he was selected for the Cork minor team. He played for one championship season with the minor team. O'Leary subsequently joined the Cork under-21 team.
