David Liddiment
David Liddiment (born 20 September 1952) is Creative Director of the independent production company All3Media. He is also an associate of The Old Vic Theatre Company and a member of the BBC Trust, the governing body of the British Broadcasting Corporation. Liddiment was director of programmes and channels at ITV (1997–2002), a role in which he was portrayed by actor Risteárd Cooper in the ITV drama Quiz in 2020. He later became head of entertainment at the BBC (1993–1995). His programme commissions included ''Pop Idol'', ''Fat Friends'', and ''Men Behaving Badly''. While working for Granada Television, he was an executive producer on ''Coronation Street'' (1987–1991). In 2003, Liddiment was presented with the Royal Television Society's Gold Medal for outstanding services to television. ''Coronation Street'' is an English soap opera created by Granada Television and shown on ITV since 9 December 1960. BBC Board Of Governors
The Board of Governors of the BBC was the governing body of the British Broadcasting Corporation. It consisted of twelve people who together regulated the BBC and represented the interests of the public. It existed from 1927 until it was replaced by the BBC Trust on 1 January 2007. The governors were independent of the Director-General and the rest of the BBC's executive team. They had no direct say in programme-making, but were nevertheless accountable to Parliament and to licence fee payers for the BBC's actions. The Royal Television Society (RTS) is a British-based educational charity for the discussion, and analysis of television in all its forms, past, present, and future. It is the oldest television society in the world. It currently has fourteen regional and national centres in the UK, as well as a branch in the Republic of Ireland. ''Men Behaving Badly'' is a Television in the United Kingdom, British British sitcom, sitcom that was created and written by Simon Nye. It follows the lives of Gary Strang (Martin Clunes) and his flatmates Dermot Povey (Harry Enfield; series 1 only) and Tony Smart (Neil Morrissey; series 2 onwards).
