David Lambie
David Lambie (13 July 1925 – 15 December 2019) was a Scottish Labour Party politician. Lambie was educated at Ardrossan Academy and at the University of Glasgow and Geneva University. He became a teacher and was chairman of the Scottish Labour Party from 1965 to 1966. Lambie contested North Ayrshire and Bute in 1955, 1959, 1964 and 1966. He was Member of Parliament for Central Ayrshire from 1970 until 1983, and after the boundary changes of that year, for Cunninghame South from 1983 until his retirement in 1992. On 13 July 2015 Lambie celebrated his 90th birthday. In popular culture Lambie was portrayed by Renny Krupinski in the 2002 BBC production of Ian Curteis's controversial ''The Falklands Play''. Scottish Labour Party
Scottish Labour ( gd, Pàrtaidh Làbarach na h-Alba, sco, Scots Labour Pairty; officially the Scottish Labour Party) is a social democratic political party in Scotland. It is an autonomous section of the UK Labour Party. From their peak of holding 56 of the 129 seats at the first Scottish parliament election in 1999, the Party has lost seats at each Holyrood election, returning 22 MSPs at the 2021 election. The party currently holds one of 59 Scottish seats in the UK House of Commons, with Ian Murray having represented Edinburgh South continuously since 2010. Brian Donohoe
Sir Brian Harold Donohoe (born 10 September 1948) is a former Scottish Labour politician and former trade union official, who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Central Ayrshire from 2005 until losing his seat in 2015. Prior to constituency boundary changes in 2005, he was MP for Cunninghame South and was first elected in 1992. Early life Born in Kilmarnock, he was educated at primary schools before attending Irvine Royal Academy. He later attended Kilmarnock Technical College, where he received a national certificate in Engineering in 1972. He was an apprentice fitter and turner at the Ailsa Shipyard in Troon from 1965, before becoming a draughtsman in 1969. In 1977, he spent a few months as an engineer at the Hunterston nuclear power plant, before joining ICI Organics Division as a draughtsman later in the year.
