David Kirk (author)
David Kirk (born 1955 in Ohio) is an American illustrator and author of children's books. He is the creator of the ''Sunny Patch'' brand, which includes a variety of products marketed by Target from 2003 to 2010, and thereafter by Melissa and Doug. The brand spun off from his ''Miss Spider'' series of children's books published by Scholastic. Kirk's work has been adapted into a children's television show called ''Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends ''Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends'', sometimes shortened to ''Sunny Patch'', is a CGI-animated children's television series produced by Nelvana in association with AbsoluteDigital Pictures and Callaway Arts & Entertainment as a follow-up to ' ...''. Target Corporation (doing business as Target and stylized in all lowercase since 2018) is an American big box department store chain headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is the seventh largest retailer in the United States, and a component of the S&P 500 Index. Target was established as the discount division of Dayton's department store of Minneapolis in 1962. ''Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends'', sometimes shortened to ''Sunny Patch'', is a CGI-animated children's television series produced by Nelvana in association with AbsoluteDigital Pictures and Callaway Arts & Entertainment as a follow-up to ''Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids''.
