David Keith (drummer)
David Keith (born October 18, 1973) is an American drummer, composer, and producer living in Hartford, Connecticut. He currently plays with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow and Blackmore's Night. Biography David Keith was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He began playing drums at age four, and went on to play with the Concert Jazz Band at William H. Hall High School in West Hartford, Connecticut. In 1996 he joined the popular progressive rock band Mighty Purple and toured with them throughout the United States. In 2000 he joined the rhythm and blues, and swing band Eight to the Bar, touring the US and Europe through 2006. In 2010 he created Mission Zero with his sister Chenot Keith (born Megan Keith). In 2012 he joined Blackmore's Night, led by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore ( Deep Purple; Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow). Gene Krupa
Eugene Bertram Krupa (January 15, 1909 – October 16, 1973), known as Gene Krupa, was an American jazz drummer, bandleader and composer who performed with energy and showmanship. His drum solo on Benny Goodman's 1937 recording of "Sing, Sing, Sing" elevated the role of the drummer from an accompanist to an important solo voice in the band. In collaboration with the Slingerland drum and Zildjian cymbal manufacturers, he was a major force in defining the standard band drummer's kit. Vater Percussion is an American manufacturing company based in Holbrook, Massachusetts. The company has always focused on percussion instruments, producing drum sticks, brushes and mallets. It was founded by Jack Adams, and is now run by his two grandsons Ron, Alan Vater. Although the company began producing sticks in 1956, it did not officially become "Vater Percussion" until much later. History The first sticks made by "Vater" were made by Jack Adams and Ron and Alan's godfather Fred Maichle in Jacks Drum Shop in Boston, Massachusetts. Portishead () is an English band formed in 1991 in Bristol. The band is named after Portishead, Somerset, eight miles west of Bristol, along the coast. The band comprises vocalist Beth Gibbons, producer Geoff Barrow, and musician Adrian Utley; Dave McDonald, an engineer on their first records, is sometimes cited as the fourth member. Horace Andy (born Horace Hinds, 19 February 1951) is a Jamaican roots reggae songwriter and singer, known for his distinctive vocals and hit songs such as "Government Land", as well as "Angel", "Spying Glass" and "Five Man Army" with English trip hop duo Massive Attack.
