David Jacoby (politician)
David Jacoby (born 1956) is the Iowa State Representative from the 86th District. A Democrat, he has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2003, when he was elected in a special election following the resignation of Dick Myers. Jacoby currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Appropriations committee; the Human Resources committee; the State Government committee; and the Commerce committee, where he is chair. Jacoby was reelected in 2006 with 9,639 votes, running unopposed. Early life and education Jacoby was born and raised in Marion, Iowa. David Jacoby is a television producer, host, and podcaster. He is a former ESPN broadcaster and producer. He was the senior producer on the TV show '' The Grantland Basketball Hour'' as well as the show '' It's The Shoes''. As a producer for ESPN’s ''Grantland'', he received three Emmy nominations. He was a host on the podcast, radio, and television show '' Jalen & Jacoby'' on ''Grantland'', ESPN Radio, and ESPN. He was with ESPN for 23 years before departing the company at the end of 2022. Jacoby is the co-host of the '' Ringer Food'' podcast with Juliet Litman and a regular guest on other ''Ringer'' podcasts.
