David Hickernell
David S. "Dave" Hickernell (born January 2, 1959) is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 98th District and was elected in 2002. He currently sits on the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Local Government, and Transportation Committees. Personal Hickernell is a native of Marietta, Pennsylvania. Hickernell graduated from Donegal High School in 1977. Hickernell graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1983. He worked several positions in the House Republican caucus, including as a legislative assistant, as Director of the House Policy Committee, as Executive Director for the Majority Whip's Office, and as Executive Assistant to the Majority Appropriations Chairman. He also was elected to Clerk of Courts in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Marietta is a borough in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The population was 2,633 at the 2020 census. It is located on the east bank of the Susquehanna River northwest of Columbia. Geography Marietta is located in western Lancaster County at (40.057169, -76.555955). It is bordered to the north, east, and west by East Donegal Township, and to the south, across the Susquehanna River, by Hellam Township in York County. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of , of which , or 0.93%, are water. Market Street runs the whole length of the town. The east/west divider is Waterford Avenue. Pennsylvania Route 441 passes just north of the borough and forms part of its northeast border; the highway leads southeast to Columbia and northwest (upriver) to Middletown.
