David Hayes (sculptor)
David Vincent Hayes (March 15, 1931 – April 9, 2013) was an American sculptor. Life Hayes received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1953, and a M.F.A. degree from Indiana University in 1955 where he studied with David Smith. He received a post-doctoral Fulbright Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship. He was a recipient of the Logan Medal of the Arts for Sculpture and an award from the National Institute of Arts and Letters. During his life, he had over 400 exhibitionsDavid Hayes Art Foundation archives and his work is included in some 100 institutional collections including those of the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. In 2007, he was conferred an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree by Albertus Magnus College. Hayes resided in Coventry, Connecticut, where he had 54 acres of land to exhibit his works on the grounds of the David Hayes Sculpture Fields, an open air art museum open to the public. David John Haskins (born 24 April 1957, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England), better known as David J, is a British alternative rock musician, producer, and writer. He is the bassist for the gothic rock band Bauhaus and for Love and Rockets. He has composed the scores for a number of plays and films, and also wrote and directed his own plays, ''Silver for Gold (The Odyssey of Edie Sedgwick)'', in 2008, which was restaged at REDCAT in Los Angeles in 2011, and ''The Chanteuse and The Devil's Muse'' in 2011. David Hayes (born May 15, 1963 in Framingham, Massachusetts) is an American conductor. Hayes was educated at the University of Hartford, Hartt School of Music (BM cum laude, musicology) and the Curtis Institute of Music (Diploma in Orchestral Conducting) where his teacher was Otto-Werner Mueller. In addition, he studied viola with Richard Rusack at Hartt and conducting with Charles Bruck at the Pierre Monteux School in Hancock, ME. David Hayes (born May 24, 1976, in Waldorf, Maryland) is an American soccer player who most recently played for FC Tampa Bay in the North American Soccer League. Hayes began his professional career in Major League Soccer with D.C. United. His tenure at the highest level was short-lived, as he primarily served as a substitute, and was subsequently loaned out most of the time to the United Soccer Leagues. Hayes' career rejuvenated when he stayed permanently at the USL First Division, particularly with Atlanta Silverbacks and Portland Timbers. His achievements included winning the Commissioner's Cup, earning the ''Defender of the Year award'', and receiving All-League honors for three consecutive years. David Hayes (hurler)
David Hayes was an Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Blackrock and was a member of the Cork senior inter-county team from 1893 until 1894. Playing career Club Hayes played his club hurling with the famous Blackrock club and enjoyed much success throughout the first decade of club activity in Cork. Over the course of twelve championship seasons Blackrock qualified for nine county finals, with victory coming on eight occasions. Hayes was a key member of the team for all of these successes, beginning in 1887 when he captured his first county senior championship title. A second county title quickly followed in 1889. Blackrock were unlucky not to capture a five-in-a-row in the 1890s, however, defeat in 1892 broke the chain. Very Small Records was an independent record label, formed in 1989 by David Hayes, co-founder and former co-owner of Lookout Records. The name of the label was changed to Too Many Records around 1994, but was changed back around 1997. The label terminated in 2003.
