David Folsom (Choctaw)
David Folsom (born March 12, 1947) is a retired United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Education and career Born in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, Folsom received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas in 1969 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1974. He served as a school teacher at Arkansas Senior High School in Texarkana, Arkansas from 1969 to 1971. He was in private practice in Texarkana, Texas from 1974 to 1995. He was a deputy prosecuting attorney of Lafayette County, Arkansas from 1978 to 1981. Texarkana is a city in the U.S. state of Arkansas and the county seat of Miller County, on the southwest border of the state. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 29,387. The city is located across the state line from its twin city of Texarkana, Texas.
