David Dunne (DJ)
David Dunne is a UK Club DJ, Radio presenter and former head of music at MTV from Manchester. Career David Dunne's DJ career spans more than thirty years on radio and as a club DJ. In 1989, he found himself showcasing music from legendary clubs like the Hacienda on Manchester's Piccadilly Radio with his "Isometric Dance Class" show, which was the first show on legal FM radio in the UK solely dedicated to the new and growing genre of House music. At that time he gave DJs such as Justin Robertson, Mike Pickering and Jon DaSilva their first radio exposure. He moved to London in 1990 where he worked as a TV producer and then as a TV plugger for Phonogram records and was responsible for getting acts from the Talkin Loud stable, founded by Gilles Peterson, onto national TV. A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Types of DJs include radio DJs (who host programs on music radio stations), club DJs (who work at a nightclub or music festival), mobile DJs (who are hired to work at public and private events such as weddings, parties, or festivals), and turntablists (who use record players, usually turntables, to manipulate sounds on phonograph records). James Hyman
James Hyman (born 1970), is the owner and founder of HyMag, a radio and television presenter, music supervisor and DJ. Hyman put aside his university to work at MTV Europe despite his parents' misgivings (partly because of his father's glimpse of the music industry through his cousin Brian Epstein). HYMAG For over 30 years, Hyman has been collecting magazines, pamphlets, newsletters, brochurees, ephemera and other printed material. The theme of Hyman's collecting is "popular culture in print". Originally, he began collecting to assist his research at MTV Europe, where he was a script writer and programme producer. Wireless Group Limited is a radio and digital broadcasting network with headquarters in Belfast, Northern Ireland and with radio operations in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. Gaydio is a radio station for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ+) people in the United Kingdom, broadcast on 88.4 FM in Greater Manchester, on DAB digital radio in Greater London, parts of the Home Counties, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Sheffield, Bristol and Portsmouth, and online through its website, mobile apps, Smart Speakers and the UK Radio Player.
