David Dobkin (director)
David Dobkin (born c. 1969/1970) is an American director, producer and screenwriter. He is best known for directing the films ''Clay Pigeons'', ''Shanghai Knights'', ''Wedding Crashers'', ''The Judge (2014 film), The Judge'', and ''Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga''. Early life Dobkin was raised in Washington, D.C., where he attended Lafayette Elementary School, and later was raised in the suburb of Bethesda, Maryland, where he attended Walt Whitman High School (Maryland), Walt Whitman High School. Career Dobkin made his music-video debut with a video clips for rapper Tupac Shakur. Fifteen more videos followed for such music groups as Extreme (band), Extreme, Robin Zander, Sonic Youth, dada (band), dada, Blues Traveler, and others. ''Shanghai Knights'' is a 2003 American martial arts action comedy film. It is the sequel to ''Shanghai Noon'', and the second installment of the ''Shanghai'' film series. Directed by David Dobkin and written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, it stars Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson, Fann Wong, Donnie Yen and Aidan Gillen. It was released on February 7, 2003.
