David Dickinson
David Dickinson MBE (born David Gulesserian; 16 August 1941) is an English antiques dealer and television presenter. Between 2000 and 2004, Dickinson hosted the BBC One antiques show '' Bargain Hunt'', where he was succeeded by Tim Wonnacott. Dickinson left the BBC in 2005, and since 2006 he has been hosting the ITV daytime show ''Dickinson's Real Deal''. The show sees members of the public bringing antiques and collectables to sell to a dealer or take to the auction. In April 2003, he hosted his own daytime chat show series ''The David Dickinson Show'' and in 2017, he presented ''David Dickinson's Name Your Price'' for ITV. David Christopher Dickinson (11 December 1929 – 25 August 1997) was an English first-class cricketer. Dickinson was born at Blackheath in December 1929. He was educated at Clifton College, before going up to the University of Cambridge. At Cambridge he made his debut in first-class cricket for Cambridge University against Middlesex in 1953 at Fenner's. He played a further ten first-class matches for Cambridge in 1953, taking 19 wickets with his right-arm medium pace, at an average of 28.00 and with best figures of 4 for 22. Lord Francis Powerscourt
Lord Francis Powerscourt is a fictional Victorian- Edwardian detective who has appeared in fifteen novels by the author David Dickinson. Background Powerscourt is descended from Irish aristocracy, his ancestral home is Powerscourt House in County Wicklow, Ireland. It is not clear whether he is properly Lord Powerscourt, i.e. a peer in his own right, or Lord Francis Powerscourt, i.e. the younger son of a high-ranking peer. Powerscourt's parents both died of Influenza while he was a child. Powerscourt was educated at Eton followed by Cambridge University. His early (and so far largely undocumented) career was with army intelligence in India and Afghanistan where he served with distinction.
