David Cuéllar
David Cuéllar Tainta (born 1 November 1979) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a right winger. Club career Born in Pamplona, Navarre, Cuéllar came through the youth ranks of Athletic Bilbao, but managed to play just 14 games without scoring from 2000 to 2002, eventually leaving the club. His debut with the first team came on 20 December 2000, coming as a late substitute in a 1–1 home draw against Valencia CF. After two years with Elche CF and two with Gimnàstic de Tarragona in the second division, Cuéllar made a comeback to La Liga with the latter team in the 2006–07 season (scoring his first goal in the top flight on 24 September 2006 in a 2–2 home draw with Racing de Santander) before earning himself a move back to Athletic for the following campaign, where he appeared in only seven matches. 2008–09 Segunda División
The 2008–09 Segunda División season (known from that season as Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 78th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 30 August 2008, and the season ended on 21 June 2009. Real Zaragoza, Real Murcia and Levante were the teams relegated from La Liga the previous season. Alicante, Girona, Huesca and Rayo Vallecano were the teams promoted from Segunda División B the previous season. The first goal of the season was scored by Alexandre Geijo, who scored in the 11th minute for Levante against Real Zaragoza in the early kick-off. ''El Correo'' (; ) is a leading daily newspaper in Bilbao and the Basque Country of northern Spain. It is among best-selling general interest newspapers in Spain. The 2007–08 La Liga season, the 77th since its establishment, started on 25 August 2007 and finished on 18 May 2008. Real Madrid defended their La Liga title successfully after a 2–1 victory over Osasuna. This season, all European leagues ended earlier than the previous season, due to the UEFA Euro 2008 championship. It also was the first year of the new La Liga television agreement that had La Sexta mark its first year of television broadcasting. The 2006–07 La Liga season, the 76th since its establishment, started on 27 August 2006 and finished on 17 June 2007.
