David Cunningham (bishop)
David Cunningham or Cunynghame (c. 1540–1600) was a 16th-century Scottish prelate and diplomat. He was the first Protestant Bishop of Aberdeen. His predecessor, William Gordon began as a Roman Catholic bishop, but accepted the Church of Scotland's authority. Life Born around 1540, he graduated in the early 1560s as Master of Arts from St Leonard's College, St Andrews. David Ireland Cunningham (born 12 May 1943) is a Scottish musician and composer who is well-known and much-respected in the Scottish Country Dance Music field as an accordionist, teacher, composer, and band leader. For some years, he and his son David have run Thane Productions, a recording studio and production company specializing in the Scottish Country Dance genre. Early life An only child, David was born in the village of Kettlebridge, Fife, the son of William Cunningham, a joiner, and Christina (Chris) Ireland. Shortly before he was born, his father was sent to serve in Burma so they did not meet until the Second World War was over in 1945. William played the melodeon and seven-year-old David began to play it too but secretly, for fear of getting into trouble. David Cunningham is an American football coach and former player. He is the tightends coach at Georgetown Tigers football, where he has been an assistant coach since 2022. Cunningham served as the head football coach at Sue Bennett College in London, Kentucky from 1996 to 1997 and McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas from 2002 to 2006. Playing career Cunningham played college football at Kentucky Wesleyan as a linebacker from 1983 to 1987. David Cunningham (born 20 December 1954) is a composer and record producer from Northern Ireland. His first significant success came with The Flying Lizards' single 'Money', an international hit in 197 Cunningham was born in Armagh on 20 December 1954. Between 1973 and 1977 he attended Maidstone College of Art, in Maidstone in Kent. In 1976 he released ''Grey Scale'', an own-label LP of pieces in minimalist idiom, as his Degree show. The cover was from fellow student and video artist, Stephen Partridge with whom he made a number of collaborations over the next 20 years. David Cunningham is a Professor and Chair of Sociology at Washington University in St. Louis. His scholarship includes social conflict, race-based hate groups, and social movements. Education Cunningham attended University of Connecticut for his undergraduate academic career, studying civil engineering and English. In 1993, he graduated magna cum laude and as a university scholar from UConn and began pursuing a master's degree in sociology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his M.A. in sociology in 1996 and his Ph.D in sociology in 2000. David Douglas Cunningham (29 September 1843 – 31 December 1914) was a Scottish doctor and researcher who worked extensively in India on various aspects of public health and medicine. He studied the spread of bacteria and the spores of fungi through the air and conducted research on cholera. In his spare time he also studied the local plants and animals. David Frederick Cunningham (December 3, 1900 – February 22, 1979) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Bishop of Syracuse from 1970 to 1976.
