David Cullen (ice Hockey)
David Cullen (born December 30, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He attended Medaille College between 2010 and 2011, earning a master's degree in Education. Playing career Cullen played 16 games in the National Hockey League for the Phoenix Coyotes who signed him as an undrafted free-agent in 1999, scoring no points and collecting 6 penalty minutes. He mainly played for the Coyotes' AHL affiliate the Springfield Falcons. On January 4, 2002, Cullen was traded to the Minnesota Wild for Sébastien Bordeleau and played 3 games for the Wild scoring no points and no penalty minutes as he spent most of his time again in the AHL, this time with the Houston Aeros. After 2 seasons in the Wild organization, he spent a further 3 seasons in the AHL with the Rochester Americans before moving to Europe in 2006, playing in Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the DEG Metro Stars, and in August 2007 he signed with the Swedish team Färjestads BK. Rochester Americans
The Rochester Americans (colloquially known as the Amerks) are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League; the team is an owned and operated affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. The team plays its home games in Rochester, New York, at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial. The Americans are the fourth oldest franchise in the AHL, and have the second longest continuous tenure among AHL teams in their current locations after the Hershey Bears. Rochester was awarded a new franchise in June 1956, when the Pittsburgh Hornets were forced to suspend operations after their arena, the Duquesne Gardens was razed in an urban renewal project. The Springfield Falcons were a former ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) and played in Springfield, Massachusetts, at the MassMutual Center. In 2016, the Falcons' franchise was purchased by the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Arizona Coyotes and relocated to Tucson, Arizona, before the start of the 2016–17 AHL season. List Of NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey All-Tournament Teams
NCAA All-Tournament team is an honor bestowed at the conclusion of the NCAA Division I ice hockey tournament to the players judged to have performed the best during the championship. The team is currently composed of three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender with additional players named in the event of a tie. Voting for the honor was conducted by the head coaches of each member team once the tournament has completed and any player regardless of their team's finish is eligible. The All-Tournament Team began being awarded after the first championship in 1948 along with an All-Tournament Second-Team. The American Hockey Coaches Association was formed in 1947 in Boston. The founding members coached college ice hockey but membership has grown to include coaches at every level of the sport from youth hockey to professional ice hockey, although the organization maintains a focus on the collegiate game. The All-Hockey East Teams are composed of all players from teams that are members of Hockey East, an NCAA Division I hockey-only conference. Each year, from the 1984–85 season onward, at the conclusion of the Hockey East regular season, the head coaches of each team vote for players to be placed on each all-conference team. The First, Second, and Rookie Teams have been named in each ECAC Hockey season, except for 1985–86, in which no Rookie Team was named. The Hockey East Association, also known as Hockey East, is a college ice hockey conference which operates entirely in New England. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. Hockey East came into existence in 1984 for men's hockey when most of its current members split from what is today known as ECAC Hockey, after disagreements with the Ivy League members. The women's league, the WHEA, began play in 2002. The Syracuse Crunch are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They play in Syracuse, New York, at the Upstate Medical University Arena. They are the primary development affiliate of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning.
