David Carr (born 1940, in Parkersburg, West Virginia) is an American phenomenology scholar and a Charles Howard Candler Professor Emeritus of Philosophy from Emory University. David Aaron Carr (born March 28, 1999) is an American freestyle and folkstyle wrestler. In freestyle, he was the '19 junior world champion at 74 kilograms representing the United States. As a folkstyle wrestler, Carr is an NCAA Division I national champion, three-time NCAA Division I All-American, and four-time Big 12 Conference champion, the second to win his conference four times at Iowa State University. David Carr (15 June 1932 – 18 July 2023) was an Australian masters track and field athlete, known for running middle distance races. He is the current world record holder in the M75 800 metres, the M80 Mile, 2000 metres steeplechase and as a member of the 4x400 metres relay team. Athletic achievements In the World Masters Athletics Championships, in the 800 metres, Carr has won the gold medal in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2013 and 2015. He took silver behind Janusz Kociszewski in 2008 and 2005, with silvers also in 1987 and 1993. He was bronze medalist behind Earl Fee in 1997. He won the 1500 metres in 1997, 2007, 2013 and 2015, with a silver in 2003 and bronze in 2011. He also won the steeplechase in 2011, 2013 and 2015 after taking silver in 2009. David Duke Carr (born July 21, 1979) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the NFL for 11 seasons. He was drafted by the Houston Texans first overall in the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State. Carr also played professionally for the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers. He received a Super Bowl ring as a backup for the Giants after their victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. Third Day
Third Day was a Christian rock band formed in Marietta, Georgia during the 1990s. The band was founded by lead singer Mac Powell, guitarist Mark Lee (both of whom were the only constant members) and Billy Wilkins. Drummer David Carr was the last band member to quit, prior to the band’s farewell tour in May and June 2018. The band's name is a reference to the biblical accounts of the resurrection of Jesus on the third day following his crucifixion. David & Carr is a duo consisting of trance musicians Peter "Petrogad" Carr and David "Wes" Johnson. Born and raised in Minnesota, Peter "Petrogad" Carr began listening to electronic music at the age of 16.
