David Caldwell (tennis)
David Caldwell (born June 13, 1974) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Career Caldwell was a three time All-American while at the University of North Carolina. He and Paul Goldstein were doubles gold medalists at the 1995 Summer Universiade, held in Fukuoka. He lost to Petr Korda in the opening round of the 1996 US Open and also exited in the first round of men's doubles, partnering Cecil Mamiit. His next Grand Slam appearance was in the 1997 Australian Open, where he again failed to make the second round, losing to Arnaud Boetsch. Caldwell had wins over Kenneth Carlsen and Ramón Delgado to reach the round of 16 at Washington in 1998. Cecil Mamiit
Cecil Valdeavilla Mamiit (born June 27, 1976) is a former tennis player from the United States who went on to represent the Philippines. He began his professional career in 1996 and reached his highest individual ranking in the ATP Tour on October 11, 1999 as World No. 72. In 1996, he won the NCAA singles championship as an USC freshman, a feat that had not been achieved since John McEnroe attended Stanford University in 1978. Mamiit won the silver medal in the men's tournament at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, after losing the final to fellow American Paul Goldstein. Sébastien Leblanc
Sébastien LeBlanc Canadian.(born 27 December 1973 in Montreal) is a former tour professional tennis player. Leblanc captured three junior Grand Slam titles and played Davis Cup for Canada. More of a doubles specialist, he won five Challenger events in doubles and reached a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 127. Junior career Leblanc teamed with fellow Québécois and Montrealer Sébastien Lareau to capture first the 1990 French Open junior doubles title and then a month later the 1990 Wimbledon junior doubles title. Adam Peterson (born July 16, 1974) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Early career Peterson, who grew up in Orange County, California, made the boys' doubles semi-finals at both the 1990 and 1992 US Open junior competitions. A USC Trojans player, he was a member of NCAA title winning sides in 1993 and 1994. While still an amateur he was given a wildcard into the main draw at Indian Wells in 1995. The 1999 Australian Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia. It was the 87th edition of the Australian Open and was held from 18 through 31 January 1999. This was the first Grand Slam of the calendar year. Total attendance for the event reached 391,504. In the singles competition, Petr Korda and Martina Hingis were the defending champions. Korda was unseeded at this tournament and was eliminated in the third round by American 15th seed Todd Martin. This loss resulted in him falling down the rankings from 20th to 76th. Later in July, Korda received a suspension from tennis by the ITF after testing positive for nandrolone at Wimbledon last year. Ramón Delgado (; born 14 November 1976) is a Paraguayan retired tennis player and current tennis coach. He turned professional in 1995 and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 52 in April 1999. Kenneth Carlsen (born 17 April 1973) is a Danish former professional tennis player, who was active between 1992 and 2007. Carlsen played left-handed with a one-handed backhand. His greatest asset was his powerful serve, and his game was therefore best suited to fast surfaces (grass and hardcourt). For most of his long career, Carlsen was Denmark's best tennis player, and consistently among the few Danish players playing at the highest international level.
