David Brownlow is an American sound engineer. Life and career Brownlow is working as sound specialist for movie and TV productions since the late 1970s. At the 47th Primetime Emmy Awards in 1995 Brownlow and his colleagues Patrick Cyccone, Edward Suski and James G. Williams where awarded with the Emmy for ''Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Drama Miniseries or a Special'' for their work on ''Buffalo Girls''. An audio engineer (also known as a sound engineer or recording engineer) helps to produce a recording or a live performance, balancing and adjusting sound sources using equalization, dynamics processing and audio effects, mixing, reproduction, and reinforcement of sound. 47th Primetime Emmy Awards
The 47th Primetime Emmy Awards were held on Sunday, September 10, 1995. The ceremony was hosted by Jason Alexander and Cybill Shepherd. It was broadcast on Fox. Beau Borders is an American sound engineer and race driver. Born into a grassroots racing family, Beau Borders’ earliest memories revolve around the white-knuckle world of motorsports. His extensive racing resume includes many wins, podiums, and even a few championships in both open and closed-wheel competition. Beau's racing career has been intertwined with his film career, which began at George Lucas's famed Skywalker Ranch. The Academy Award for Best Sound is an Academy Award that recognizes the finest or most euphonic sound mixing, recording, sound design, and sound editing. The award used to go to the studio sound departments until a rule change in 1969 said it should be awarded to the specific technicians. The first were Murray Spivack and Jack Solomon for '' Hello, Dolly!''. It is generally awarded to the production sound mixers, re-recording mixers, and supervising sound editors of the winning film. In the lists below, the winner of the award for each year is shown first, followed by the other nominees.
