David Bismuth
David Bismuth (born 10 January 1975) is a French classical pianist. Life Born in Nice of music-loving parents, he studied at the Conservatory of Nice with Anne Queffélec and Catherine Collard, then joined Brigitte Engerer's class at the Conservatoire de Paris. He studied with Monique Deschaussées and participated in 2002 in master classes organized by Maria João Pires, with whom he later performed. Bismuth made his debut with the Orchestre national de France in 2009. He mainly interprets Johann Sebastian Bach, Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Mozart, and French composers. Geneviève Laurenceau (born 2 November 1977) is a French classical violinist. She was a supersoloist with the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse from 2007 to 2017. Life Born in Strasbourg, Laurenceau began playing the violin at the age of 3 and started performing at the age of 9 with the philharmonic chamber orchestra of her hometown. She followed the lessons of Wolfgang Marschner and Zakhar Bron in Germany, then perfected her skills with Jean-Jacques Kantorow in Rotterdam. After several international successes and a First Prize at the Novosibirsk International Competition (Russia), she won the Grand Prize of the Maurice Ravel International Academy in Saint-Jean-de-Luz in September 2001. Maria João Alexandre Barbosa Pires (; born 23 July 1944) is a Portuguese classical pianist, widely regarded as one of the leading interpreters of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin. Early life and education Pires was born in Lisbon, Portugal, a posthumous daughter of João Baptista Pires and his wife Alzira dos Santos Alexandre Barbosa.
