David Barlow (basketball)
David Barlow (born 22 October 1983) is an Australian professional basketball player who last played for Melbourne United of the National Basketball League (NBL). He has won five NBL championships. Junior career Born in the Melbourne suburb of Sandringham, Barlow played for the Sandringham Sabres of the Big V from 2001 to 2003. In 2002, Barlow moved to the United States to attend Metropolitan State University of Denver in Colorado. In 2002–03, he played 30 games (13 starts) for the Roadrunners, averaging 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds per game. Professional career Early years in the NBL (2003–2009) Barlow returned to Australia in 2003 and signed with the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL). He spent four seasons with the Kings and was a member of two championship-winning teams. David Bruce Barlow (born 1971) is a United States federal judge, United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Utah, District of Utah and a former United States Attorney for the same district. Education Barlow graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995 and received his Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School in 1998. Legal career Barlow began his career as an associate at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP from 1998 to 2000. From 2000 to 2010, he worked at Sidley Austin; first as an associate from 2000 to 2006, and then as a partner from 2006 to 2010. David Barlow (biologist)
David Barlow is a British biologist and Emmy Award-winning film-maker, best known for his work photographing and filming inside of living animals. He is an Honorary Research Fellow in Neurophysiology at the University of Southampton. Career Barlow graduated with a BSc in Zoology from the University of Southampton in 1974, continuing on to study a PhD in Physiology and Biochemistry at the School of Biomedical Sciences on the Boldrewood Campus. His doctoral studies were focused on ''cilia flagella'', and research on brine and fairy shrimps. Barlow's first film work was on David Attenborough's landmark 1978 nature series ''Life on Earth'', filming microscoping single-cell pond organisms. However, he was also working on projects for the National Health Service and others, and in 1983 he was commissioned to provide specialist microscopic biomedical photography for a Channel 4 series, ''The Living Body''.
