David Armitage (footballer)
David Clancy Armitage (born 16 June 1988) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life and junior football Armitage was born in Mackay, Queensland. Despite growing up in a rugby league stronghold city, Armitage played Australian rules football in his younger years. His father, Greg, was an avid Australian rules fan and introduced him to the game at a young age. He played his junior football for the Eastern Swans in the AFL Mackay competition. He made his senior debut for the Swans in 2002 at 14 years old and kicked five goals against Bakers Creek. } Mackay () is a city in the Mackay Region on the eastern or Coral Sea coast of Queensland, Australia. It is located about north of Brisbane, on the Pioneer River. Jordan Lewis
Jordan Michael Lewis (born 24 April 1986) is a former Australian rules football player who played with the Hawthorn Football Club and Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League. AFL career Hawthorn Lewis was drafted by Hawthorn with Pick 7 in the 2004 AFL Draft. Hawthorn originally had intended to draft Lewis with Pick 10, but were concerned that Lewis would not be available by that point, and so the club made a trade with in order to gain Pick 7. He made his AFL debut in season 2005. Lewis was voted Hawthorn's best first-year player in 2005. He was a 2005 nominee for the AFL Rising Star award. In 2008, Lewis was part of the Hawthorn team that won the premiership against Geelong. In Australian sport, the best and fairest award recognises the player(s) adjudged to have had the best performance in a game or over a season for a given sporting club or competition. The awards are sometimes dependent on not receiving a suspension for misconduct or breaching the rules during that season. In the Australian Football League (AFL), the Brownlow Medal is awarded to the player who, provided he has not been suspended during the season, receives the most votes from the umpires for being the Fairest and Best player in games during the home and away season. In each game, the umpires award three votes to the player they judge to be the best afield in that game, two votes to the second-best player and one vote to the third-best player.
