Dave Studdard
David Studdard (born November 22, 1955) is a former offensive tackle who played in two National Football League (NFL) Super Bowls for the Denver Broncos. He also played for the National Championship in college football for the Texas Longhorns - losing all three games. College career Studdard played college football for the Texas Longhorns where he was an All-Southwest Conference player. In 1977 he blocked for Heisman Trophy winner Earl Campbell, helped them win the Southwest Conference Championship, and came one win away from the National Championship. The next year, he helped them win the Sun Bowl. Pro Career Studdard had a 10-year career with the Denver Broncos, helping them to reach back-to-back Super Bowls where he had the unenviable task of stopping pro-bowlers Lawrence Taylor and Dexter Manley. Earl Campbell
Earl Christian Campbell (born March 29, 1955), nicknamed "the Tyler Rose", is an American former professional football player who played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Houston Oilers and New Orleans Saints. Known for his aggressive, punishing running style and ability to break tackles, Campbell gained recognition as one of the best power running backs in NFL history. Campbell played college football for the Texas Longhorns, where he won the Heisman Trophy and earned unanimous All-America honors in his senior season, as well as numerous other accolades. He was drafted first overall by the Oilers in 1978 and had an immediate impact in the league, earning NFL Rookie of the Year honors. The Houston Texans are a professional American football team based in Houston. Kasey Studdard
Kasey Studdard (born July 1, 1984) is a former American football offensive guard who played in the National Football League (NFL). The son of former Denver Broncos tackle Dave Studdard, he was drafted by the Texans in the sixth round (183rd overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Texas. High school years Studdard attended Highlands Ranch High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where he won four varsity letters in football, basketball, and track and field. In football, he was a four-year starter as an offensive and defensive lineman. He was a two-time All-District selection, a two-time All-County selection, and a two-time first-team All-State selection. The 1978 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. 1977 Texas Longhorns Football Team
The 1977 Texas Longhorns football team represented the University of Texas at Austin in the 1977 NCAA Division I football season. The Longhorns finished the regular season with an 11–0 record. Earl Campbell won the Heisman Trophy in 1977 and led the nation in rushing with 1,744 yards.
