Dave Nemo
Dave Nemo is an American radio personality who hosts a show on Road Dog Trucking on Sirius XM Radio. Nemo's show is geared toward entertainment and news favored by truck drivers. Before his current stint with XM, Nemo was best known as the host of ''The Road Gang,'' the overnight truckers' show broadcast for many years from WWL (AM) Radio in New Orleans and heard throughout most of the country through its clear channel signal. Nemo was originally the show's weekend and fill-in host behind Charlie Douglas, then took over the top spot on the show when Douglas left. Big John Parker then took Nemo's spot as weekend host. Road Dog Trucking is a truckers' talk radio channel on the Sirius XM Radio service. It covers subjects relevant to the trucking community, including politics, economics, and social issues. On February 17, 2009, the Sirius channel's programming merged with the programs heard on XM Radio's Open Road. Most of the programs from both services were retained. A clear-channel station is an AM radio station in North America that has the highest protection from interference from other stations, particularly concerning night-time skywave propagation. Charles Edward Douglas (1 July 1840 – 23 May 1916) was a New Zealand surveyor and explorer, who came to be known as Mr. Explorer Douglas, owing to his extensive explorations of the West Coast of New Zealand and his work for the New Zealand Survey Department. Bill Mack Smith Jr. (June 4, 1929 – July 31, 2020) was an American country music songwriter, singer, and radio host. While at WBAP Radio, Mack initiated the Bill Mack Million Mile Club for truckers achieving one million miles of accident-free over-the-road driving. Life For many years, Mack was best known as the host of ''The Country Roads Show'', (later ''U.S. 1 Trucking Show'', and later still, '' Midnight Cowboy Trucking Show'') the overnight country music show on WBAP, a clear channel station in Fort Worth. Mack's show catered primarily to truck drivers who traveled during the late-night hours. Bruce Dale Sommers (November 26, 1943 – August 24, 2012), known by his nickname "The Truckin' Bozo", was an American radio personality, best known for his long-running country music show geared toward truck drivers. Sommers hosted the overnight show from Cincinnati, Ohio-based clear-channel station WLW from 1984 to 2004, and it was carried by a small network of similarly high-powered stations across the United States. Sommers discontinued playing music on his nightly show, focusing on general and truck news, and talk from his listeners.
