Dave Murzin
Dave Murzin (born December 24, 1963) is a realtor and former Republican Party (United States), Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky. Biography Murzin's father, a retired Navy captain and dentist, moved the family to Pensacola, Florida, Pensacola in 1978. Dave graduated from Tate High School and received an Associate of Arts Degree from Pensacola Junior College. He also received a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from the University of West Florida, and began work in educational leadership. He is pursuing a master's degree in Educational Leadership. While working on his bachelor's degree at UWF, Murzin was the Director of the Campus Alcohol and Drug Information Center. He also worked in the Student Activities Office and for the City of Pensacola. He has a son. Florida's 2nd House District elects one member of the Florida House of Representatives. The district is represented by Alex Andrade. This district is located in the Florida Panhandle and encompasses part of the Emerald Coast. The district covers the southern portion of Escambia County and a small part of Santa Rosa County. The district is anchored on Pensacola, its largest city, and contains part of its metropolitan area. As of the 2010 Census, the district's population is 155,932. Tate High School
J.M. Tate High School is a secondary school in Cantonment, Florida, United States. The school is part of the Escambia County School District. History Tate High School was founded in 1878 by James Madison Tate Sr., a Civil War veteran, minister and former lawyer. The school was originally called Roberts High School and was one of the first high schools established in Escambia County. The original school building was one room with a sawdust floor; students sat on wooden benches. Initially, Tate taught all of the grades himself. Tate taught at Roberts High until 1913, when he retired. In 1917, the James Madison Tate Sr. Agricultural School was completed. The school was a two-story brick building with eight classrooms. Jerry Maygarden
Jerry Louis Maygarden (born December 22, 1948) is a former American politician who served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as the 55th Mayor of Pensacola from 1991 to 1994. Politics Maygarden was a member of the Pensacola City Council from 1985 to 1992, and was Mayor Pro Tempore of Pensacola from 1989 to 1991. Maygarden was Mayor Pro Tempor at the time of Vince Whibbs' retirement from the office, causing him to become Mayor. Maygarden also served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives 1994 to 2002.
