Dave Moore (footballer)
David Moore (born 17 December 1959) is an English former professional footballer, football manager and physiotherapist. He is the head physiotherapist of Football League Two club Grimsby Town. As a player, he made nearly 300 appearances in the Football League between 1978 and 1990, playing as a defender for Grimsby Town, Carlisle United, Blackpool and Darlington. He also played non-league football for Boston United. In 1994, he became manager of Scunthorpe United but was replaced two years later by Mick Buxton. Career As a player He played for his hometown club Grimsby Town, Carlisle United, Blackpool, Darlington and Boston United. As a coach Moore managed Scunthorpe United between 1994 and 1996, with a record of played 99, won 37, lost 36, drawn 26. Robbie Stockdale
Robert Keith Stockdale (born 30 November 1979) is a football manager and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a defender from 1997 to 2012. He notably played Premier League football for Middlesbrough having also appeared as a professional for Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham United, Rotherham United, Hull City, Darlington and Tranmere Rovers before joining Grimsby Town in 2008. Stockdale won five international caps for Scotland, all in 2002. Towards the end of his playing career, he became Grimsby's youth team manager and briefly served as caretaker manager. He held this position until 2012 where he took up a similar role with Sunderland. He subsequently moved up to coaching the first team and managed the club three times on a caretaker basis, before he left Sunderland in 2018. Andy Moore (footballer)
Andrew Roy Moore (born 14 November 1965) is an English former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Moore made 65 appearances in the Football League for Grimsby Town between 1983 and 1987, and also played Conference football for Lincoln City. Career Shamrock Rovers Moore signed for Shamrock Rovers in August 1988 and made his League of Ireland debut on the opening day of the 1988–89 season in a 1–0 loss to Athlone Town at Dalymount Park. He scored his first goal on 16 October in a 3–2 home win over Limerick. In a home game against Cork City on 11 November, Moore scored with a header for Rovers to lead 2–1 but then in injury time he caught the ball from a corner thinking the referee had blown the full-time whistle. Kevin Moore (footballer Born 1958)
Kevin Thomas Moore (29 April 1958 – 29 April 2013) was an English professional footballer. Born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, he played for Grimsby Town, Oldham Athletic, Southampton, Bristol Rovers and Fulham. Moore is one of five members of his family to play for Grimsby, including his brothers David and Andy, his father Roy and his uncle Norman. Illness and death In January 2010, it was reported that Moore was suffering from Pick's disease, a rare form of dementia, and in need of 24-hour care. To support his care, his former club Southampton organised a charity golf day, while another of his former clubs, Grimsby, played a benefit match to provide for Moore's care. He died on his 55th birthday, 29 April 2013, in Hedge End, Hampshire. Ian Holloway
Ian Scott Holloway (born 12 March 1963) is an English professional football manager, former player, media personality and television pundit who was most recently the manager of Grimsby Town. A midfielder, he notably played in the Premier League with Queens Park Rangers where he made just under 150 league appearances in a five-year spell. He spent most of his career at boyhood club Bristol Rovers where he had three spells which included the start and finish of his playing career. Marcus Bignot (born 22 August 1974) is an English football manager and former professional player. He is currently assistant coach of the England U19s and first-team coach at Cheltenhham Town. Bignot's playing career spanned nearly 20 years, primarily as a right back, but he has also been used in a midfield role. Paul Hurst
Paul Michael Hurst (born 25 September 1974) is an English football manager and former player who is the manager of club Grimsby Town. As a player, he was a defender from 1993 to 2008, notably playing his entire career at Rotherham United, bar a brief loan spell with Burton Albion in his final year as a player. After retiring from the playing side of the sport in 2008, he became joint manager with former teammate Rob Scott at Ilkeston Town, then Boston United, before joining Grimsby Town in 2011. In the 2015–16 National League, he led Grimsby to promotion via the play-offs.
