Dave Glover
David "Dave" Glover is a fictional character from the British television soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Ian Kelsey. He made his first appearance during the episode broadcast on 4 August 1994. The character was introduced in a bid to attract a younger audience to the show. When Kelsey opted to leave the show, producers chose to kill his character off and Dave made his last appearance on 7 January 1997. Casting In August 1994, a columnist for '' Inside Soap'' said Kelsey was expected to get pulses racing in ''Emmerdale'' when he made his debut appearance as Dave Glover, a member of a "roving gypsy clan". Ian Kelsey
Ian Kelsey (born 17 December 1966) is an English actor. He is known for his roles as Dave Glover in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'', Patrick Spiller in the BBC medical drama ''Casualty'', DI Richard Mayne in the ITV crime drama '' Blue Murder'' and Howard Bellamy in the BBC soap opera ''Doctors''. As well as appearing in the BBC drama '' Down to Earth'', he also portrayed the role of Vinny Ashford in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' from 2016 to 2017. Early life Kelsey was born on 17 December 1966 in York. Prior to acting, Kelsey started his working life as an apprentice coach builder at York railway carriage works. Kim Taylor (also Barker, Marchant and Tate) is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Claire King. The character debuted on-screen during the episode broadcast on 12 December 1989. The National Television Awards (often shortened to NTAs) is a British television awards ceremony, broadcast by the ITV network and initiated in 1995. The National Television Awards are the most prominent ceremony for which the results are voted on by the general public, and are often branded as 'television's biggest night of the year'. History The first National Television Awards (NTAs) ceremony was held in August 1995 and was hosted by Eamonn Holmes at Wembley Conference Centre. Tonicha Dobre (née Jeronimo; born 4 November 1977) is a British actress, born in Jersey, of partial Portuguese extraction. She is best known for her role as Linda Fowler in ''Emmerdale'' between 1994 and 1997 when her character was killed off. Early life and education Jeronimo has a Portuguese father named Antonio, a mother named Susan, an older sister named Filipa, and her eldest sister named Lisa. Jeronimo and her family left Jersey when she was 11 years old, living for a short time in Portugal, before moving to Yorkshire permanently. Jeronimo attended the Carousel School of Dancing (renamed to Studio 16 in 2016) in Jersey, from the age of 2 years old. Roy Glover is a fictional character from the British television soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Nicky Evans. He made his first appearance during the episode broadcast on 4 August 1994, and departed six years later on 22 August 2000. Development The five-strong Glover family, consisting of parents Ned Glover (Johnny Leeze) and Jan Glover (Roberta Kerr), and their three children Dave Glover (Ian Kelsey), Linda Glover (Tonicha Jeronimo) and Roy were introduced in August 1994. Creskeld Hall is a grade II listed Country House located in Arthington, near Otley, West Yorkshire, England. Etymology The place-name is first attested in the twelfth century, as ''Creskeld'' and ''Creskelde''.
