The Hobbit's Tale
The Hobbit's Tale is a long distance mountain bike route, that is set to be longest ever non-stop offroad ride, awaiting confirmation from Guinness. The Guinness World Record will be for "The greatest distance covered on a mountain bike in 48 hours." The official guidelines are based on flat distance and ignores height gain. It's also suggested by Guinness that it be completed on an athletics track. The Hobbit's Tale is a solo supported ride through Welsh singletrack and bridleways with some connection sections of road. The route is in total 721 km long (448 miles), 22,300 m of ascent (73,162 feet), and it should take a fit athlete 48–52 hours to complete, with support. Dave Buchanan (Canadian Football)
Dave Buchanan (born April 23, 1948) is a Canadian former all-star and Grey Cup champion running back in the Canadian Football League. Career An all-star with the Arizona State Sun Devils, Buchanan signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in 1971. Instead of staying with their taxi squad, he opted to play in Canada with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, rushing for 213 yards that season. 1972 was a career year, as he rushed for 1163 yards, caught 25 passes for 275 yards, and scored 7 TDs. He was chosen as a CFL all-star. He topped the season with a victory in the Grey Cup game. Buchanan finished his career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1974. ''Raw'' is the fifth and final studio album released by the original line-up of The Alarm. The band split up after the album was released. It was released in 1991 on IRS Records. Elegy (Amorphis Album)
''Elegy'' is the third studio album by Finnish metal band Amorphis. It is their first to feature a majority of clean vocals, sung by new vocalist Pasi Koskinen. This also marks the first album with drummer Pekka Kasari who replaced Jan Rechberger and the only album with keyboardist Kim Rantala. The music and lyrics are inspired by the traditional Finnish ballads and poems compiled in the ''Kanteletar'' by Elias Lönnrot in 1840. The primary genre of the album is progressive metal, with strong folk influence, as well as elements of melodic death metal and heavy metal. Many of the album's tracks, e.g. "Against Widows", have become fan favorites and have been performed in concerts since ''Elegys release.
