David Alexander (December 23, 1914 – March 6, 1983) was an American television director. He directed episodes of the CBS Television, CBS series The Best of Broadway and several popular 1960s television shows, including: My Favorite Martian#Season 3 (1965–66), My Favorite Martian, List of Petticoat Junction episodes#Season 1 (1963–64), Petticoat Junction, List of Get Smart episodes#Season 1 (1965–66), Get Smart, The Munsters, F Troop and List of The Brady Bunch episodes#Season 1 (1969–70), The Brady Bunch. He also directed two episodes, Plato's Stepchildren and The Way to Eden, of Star Trek: The Original Series. On Broadway, he directed the 1952 revival of Pal Joey (musical). Dave Alexander (born David Alexander Elam), also known as Omar Sharriff, Omar Shariff, Omar Hakim Khayam (March 10, 1938 – January 8, 2012) was an American West Coast blues singer and pianist. Biography Alexander was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1938, and grew up in Marshall, Texas. His father was a pianist, and his mother encouraged him to play in church. Alexander joined the United States Navy in 1955. He moved to Oakland, California, in 1957, and began a long history of working with various San Francisco Bay area musicians. A self-taught pianist, he played with Big Mama Thornton, Jimmy Witherspoon, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and Albert Collins. In 1968, he recorded his first songs for the compilation album ''Oakland Blues'', released by World Pacific Records. He performed at the Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival in 1970 and at the San Francisco Blues Festival many times from 1973 onward. David Michael Alexander (June 3, 1947 – February 10, 1975) was an American musician, best known as the original bassist for influential protopunk band The Stooges. Biography After his family relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan, from Whitmore Lake, Michigan, Alexander attended Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, where he met brothers Ron and Scott Asheton. "Zander" (as Alexander was known) dropped out after 45 minutes on the first day of his senior year in 1965 to win a bet. Later in 1965, Ron sold his motorcycle and they went to England to see The Who and to "try and find The Beatles". Alexander and the Asheton brothers soon met Iggy Pop and formed The Stooges in 1967. David Alexander (1938 – 4 February 1995), born Derick Ebdon, was a Welsh singer and entertainer. He began his career singing in social clubs, eventually obtaining wider recognition. His album ''Reflections'' sold 800,000 copies in 1988. Early years Born in Blackwood, Monmouthshire as Derick Ebdon, he left Bedwellty Grammar School at the age of 16 to support his family. David Franklin Alexander (born July 28, 1964) is a high school football coach and a former professional American football center and guard. He played ten seasons in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets. He played college football at the University of Tulsa and was drafted in the fifth round of the 1987 NFL Draft. After his professional career, Alexander operated a business as a custom homebuilder, while also pursuing a career in coaching. He worked as an assistant coach for seven years at Jenks High School in Jenks, Oklahoma. In 2005-06, he was also head coach of the Tulsa Talons of the af2 arena football league.
