Daut Boriçi
Mollà Daut Effendi Boriçi ( tr, Davut Şükrü Efendi, 20 December 1825 – 2 November 1896), was an Albanian alim, müderris and nationalist figure of the Albanian National Awakening. For most of his life he was involved in the Ottoman educational system, and is remembered for his Albanian primer in Arabic alphabet of 1861, and his leadership during the League of Prizren. Life Boriçi was born in Shkodër, back then center of the Pashalik of Scutari of the Ottoman Empire. His family originates from Boriç village near Antivari, today's Montenegro, having settled in Shkodër around 1650. At 8 years old he started his elementary education together with his brother Salih in the local school located in the "Old Bazaar" mahala. There he was taught by Molla Ferhati (1773-1844). During his youth, Boriçi also attended the Greek high school Zosimea in Janina for his education. Dauti Dauti was born in 1960 in Kokaj, near Gjilan, in Kosovo. He graduated from the University of Pristina Faculty of Law. He continued post-graduate studies at the University of West London (former Thames Valley University) and was awarded a PhD from the University of Leeds School of History, on thesis: The British Foreign Policy and the Albanian Question 1876–1914. After graduation from law school, he started his career as a journalist. His first articles were published in Bota e Re (New World) a student newspaper published by the University of Pristina. He went on to write for weekly magazine Zëri]and from 1994 until 1999 he was a London-based correspondent of the magazine. From 1999 to 2001 he worked for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in London as a journalist and editor. He established their Pristina office in 1999. Daut Haradinaj (born 6 April 1978) is a Kosovo Albanian politician, the brother of Ramush Haradinaj, and former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) member during the Kosovo War (1998–99). He was part of the leadership in the Kosovo Protection Corps. Haradinaj was born on 6 April 1978, as one of nine children, in the village of Glođane, near Dečani, in the Kosovo province that was part of the Socialist Republic of Serbia and Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
