Daulton Hommes (born July 4, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Saski Baskonia of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. After graduating high school, he played college basketball for Point Loma Nazarene University, where he was named the NABC Division II National Player of the Year for the 2018–19 season. College career After missing his junior and senior seasons at Lynden Christian High School due to an ACL injury, Hommes signed with NCAA Division II school Western Washington as a walk-on, where he also sat out his freshman season to heal. He made his college debut in the 2016–17 season, averaging 12.5 points per game and earning All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) honorable mention recognition. The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, is an American organization of men's college basketball coaches. It was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, head men's basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Formation of the NABC began when Joint Basketball Rules Committee, then the central governing authority of the game, announced without notice that it had adopted a change in the rules which virtually eliminated dribbling. Allen, a student of basketball founder James Naismith, organized a nationwide protest which ultimately resulted in the dribble remaining part of the game. The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats men's basketball team represents Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, in the NCAA Division II men's basketball competition. The team is currently coached by Ben McCollum, who has been at the helm since 2009. The 2019 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament is the 63rd annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball in the United States. The Pacific West Conference men's basketball tournament is the annual conference basketball championship tournament for the Pacific West Conference (PacWest). The tournament has been held annually since 2013. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. A walk-on, in American and Canadian college athletics, is an athlete who becomes part of a team without being recruited and awarded an athletic scholarship. A team's walk-on players are normally the weakest players and relegated to the scout team, and may not even be placed on the official depth chart or traveling team, while the scholarship players are the team's main players. NCAA Division II (D-II) is an intermediate-level division of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). It offers an alternative to both the larger and better-funded Division I and to the scholarship-free environment offered in Division III. Before 1973, the NCAA's smaller schools were grouped together in the College Division. In 1973, the College Division split in two when the NCAA began using numeric designations for its competitions. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation.
