Daughter Of The Jungle (1982 Film)
''Daughter of the Jungle'' ( it, Incontro nell'ultimo paradiso/ ''Encounter in the Last Paradise'') is a 1982 Italian romantic adventure film directed by Umberto Lenzi and starring Sabrina Siani. Plot Ringo and Butch, young Americans who intend to explore the Dominican Republic's forest, rent a boat and venture out on a large river. Lost their way, after ending up in a rapid, they are captured by a tribe of indigenous people, who are then attacked by some adventurers in search of rubies. Ringo and Butch escape to safety by escaping with Susan, a blonde girl who grew up in the jungle since she was a child in a plane crash. Ringo then finds an old, half-destroyed helicopter, which belonged to Susan's parents, and manages to repair it. Helped the natives to chase away the violent adventurers, they leave for the United States together with Susan, with whom Butch has fallen in love, with the rubies stolen from the criminals. Umberto Lenzi
Umberto Lenzi (6 August 1931 – 19 October 2017) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and novelist. A fan of film since young age, Lenzi studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and made his first film in 1958 which went unreleased, while his official debut happened in 1961 with ''Queen of the Seas''. Lenzi's films of the 1960s followed popular trends of the era, which led to him directing several spy and erotic thriller films. He followed in suit in the 1970s making ''giallo'' films, crime films and making the first Italian cannibal film with ''Man from the Deep River''. He continued making films up until the 1990s and later worked as a novelist writing a series of murder mysteries. Giovanni Lombardo Radice
Giovanni Lombardo Radice (born 23 September 1954, Rome, Italy) is an Italian film actor, better known to audiences as John Morghen. He first began his career in theater before he starred in Ruggero Deodato's ''The House on the Edge of the Park'' (1980). Throughout the 80s Radice appeared in many Italian cult films such as ''Cannibal Apocalypse'' (1980), '' City of the Living Dead'' (1980), ''Stage Fright'' (1987) and '' The Church'' (1989). Radice is best known for his villainous roles in Italian horror films, and notably for the spectacular and gruesome death scenes his characters semi-regularly fall victim to. In several interviews, he reportedly stated that he wished he had never portrayed Mike Logan in ''Cannibal Ferox'', criticizing the movie for being both fascist and racist and abusive towards animals.
