The title of the wife of Datuk is Datin. Origin The oldest historical records mentioning about the title ''datuk'' is the 7th century Srivijayan inscriptions such as Telaga Batu from Palembang, Indonesia, to describe lesser kings or vassalized kings. It was called ''dātu'' in Old Malay language to describe regional leader or elder, a kind of chieftain that rules of a collection of ''kampungs'' (villages) called Kedatuan. The Srivijaya empire was described as a network or mandala that consisted of settlements, villages, and ports each ruled by a datu that vowed their loyalty (''persumpahan'') to the central administration of Srivijayan Maharaja. 	Dato (newspaper) ''Dato'' ( da, date) is a defunct Danish free daily newspaper published in Denmark between 2006 and 2007. History and profile Launched on 16 August 2006, ''Dato'' was Berlingske's offering in the "newspaper war" initiated by Dagsbrún's ''Nyhedsavisen''. ''dato'' was, however, the first of the recent free dailies delivered to people's homes to begin publishing. The paper was owned by Det Berlingske Officin. It was distributed in Metropolitan Copenhagen and the suburbs of Århus. The 2006 circulation of the paper was 200,000 copies in 2006. It had a circulation of 400,000 copies in March 2007. ''Dato'' closed on 19 April 2007 and merged with another Danish free daily newspaper, ''Urban'', also owned by Det Berlingske Officin. He served three times as Prime Minister of Spain, Spanish prime minister: from 27 October 1913 to 9 December 1915, from 11 June 1917 to 3 November 1917, and from 28 April 1920 until his assassination by Catalonia, Catalan anarchists.
