''Das Geheimnis meiner Familie'' is a German television series. It is aired in Germany's Das Erste and its sister network, EinsFestival, including its localized networks such as WDR and SWR Fernsehen. It is also aired in 3sat, a network which shared by both German, Austrian and Swiss broadcasters such as ZDF, ARD, ORF and SRG SSR. Das Erste (; "The First") is the flagship national television channel of the ARD association of public broadcasting corporations in Germany. ''Das Erste'' is jointly operated by the nine regional public broadcasting corporations that are members of the ARD. The channel was officially launched on 25 December 1952 as ''NWDR-Fernsehen'' and renamed to ''Deutsches Fernsehen'' in 1954. Since 1996, the official brand is ''Das Erste''; the full name Erstes Deutsches Fernsehen (''First German Television'') is still used before every major news edition. ''One'' (stylized as ''one'') is a German free-to-air television channel owned and operated by the German public-broadcasting consortium ARD. Managed since October 2005 by Westdeutscher Rundfunk on behalf of ARD as a whole, the channel was originally launched (as ''EinsFestival'') on 30 August 1997. History On 29 July 2016, WDR announced that from early September 2016 ''Einsfestival'' would be rebranded as ''One'' and become a channel specifically aimed at viewers aged between 30 and 49. SWR Fernsehen is a German regional television channel targeting the states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. It is produced by Südwestrundfunk (SWR) and is one of eight regional "third channels" broadcast by the ARD members. History The channel started on 5 April 1969 as a collaboration between Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR), Südwestfunk (SWF) and SR named "Südwest 3". SDR and SWF merged in 1998 to form SWR and the channel was renamed "Südwest Fernsehen". The name "SWR Fernsehen" was adopted in September 2006. The channel is available in two different versions: *SWR Fernsehen BW for Baden-Württemberg. *SWR Fernsehen RP for Rhineland-Palatinate. ARD (broadcaster)
ARD is a joint organisation of Germany's regional public-service broadcasters. It was founded in 1950 in West Germany to represent the common interests of the new, decentralised, post-war broadcasting services – in particular the introduction of a joint television network. The ARD has a budget of €6.9 billion, 22,612 employees and is the largest public broadcaster network in the world. The budget comes primarily from a licence fee which every household, company and public institution are required by law to pay. For an ordinary household the fee is currently €18.36 per month. Households living on welfare are exempt from the fee. ''Who Do You Think You Are?'' is a British genealogy documentary series that has aired on the BBC since 2004, in which celebrity participants trace their family history. It is made by the production company Wall to Wall. The programme has regularly attracted an audience of more than 6 million viewers. Christine Neubauer (born 24 June 1962 in Munich) is a German actress and author. Life and work Background and education Christine Neubauer is the daughter of a printer. Her ancestors came from Munich, Lower Bavaria and Swabia. She attended Mary Ward Secondary School in Nymphenburg and graduated in 1978 with an intermediate certificate.
