Darzamat
Darzamat is a Polish atmospheric black metal band, founded in 1995. After a few initial releases ( In Flames of Black Arts, Oniriad and the MCD In the Opium of Black Veil), the founding member Flauros (vocals) managed to gather musicians who have since been identified as the band's core: guitar players Chris and Daamr, female vocalist Nera and keyboard player Spectre. The album Semidevilish, released in 2004, established the sound of the newly consolidated band and gave it strength to start appearing more regularly on stage. The following year saw the release of Transkarpatia. The album, produced by Andy LaRocque, the guitar force behind King Diamond. As a result, Darzamat started to be feature in such European festivals as Rock Hard Open, Wave Gothic Treffen, Hard Rock Laager, S-Hammer Festival, Last Night on Earth, Dong Open Festival, Moscow After Midnight and Metal Head Mission. Solfernus' Path
''Solfernus' Path'' is the sixth album by the Polish symphonic black metal band Darzamat, released on August 28, 2009. It was recorded at several studios in Poland. The drums and guitars were recorded at ''HH Poland Studio'' in Gliwice, while the vocals were recorded at ''Maq Studio''. The keyboard parts were recorded at Spectre (Darzamat's keyboard player)'s home studio. The album was produced by Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry) and featured a guest appearance by Andy LaRocque (of King Diamond) who played the guitar solo for the song ''King of Burning Anthems''. La Rocque recorded his part in his own Sonic Train Studios in Varberg. They met when La Rocque produced their previous album ''Transkarpatia''. Oniriad
''Oniriad'' is the third album by the Polish symphonic black metal band Darzamat which was released in 2003 and was recorded at their own studio ''The Post Street Studio'' in Poland. The album was self-produced and it took them nearly two years to prepare all the new material. The main reason why it took so long was that the band had been building their own studio. Five months work in ''The Post Street Studio'' has brought 42 minutes of music and nine compositions. The band had personnel issues too. By the time ''Oniriad'' was prepared to be released, Kowalski had left band and started his own project called Eclipse. Chudzicki known as Mastiphal musician, joined the group. Katarzyna Banaszak left Darzamat and had gone to USA. She had been replaced by Karolina Widera after she left. Andy LaRocque (born Anders Allhage, 29 November 1962) is a Swedish guitarist, songwriter, and producer, best known as a member of the Heavy metal music, heavy metal band King Diamond (band), King Diamond since 1985. Biography LaRocque started in the Swedish hard rock band Swedish Beauty, which later changed its name to Swedish Erotica. He also played on the Death (metal band), Death album ''Individual Thought Patterns'' and the IllWill album ''Evilution (album), Evilution'', along with former members of Mercyful Fate. He can be heard on other albums as well, such as Falconer (band), Falconer's ''Chapters from a Vale Forlorn'', where he performed lead guitars on the song "Busted to the Floor". LaRocque contributed a guitar solo to the track "Cold" on the album ''Slaughter of the Soul'' by Swedish melodic death metal group At the Gates. Mastiphal (band)
Mastiphal is a Polish black metal band. It was founded in Katowice in 1992, initially named Dissolution, thanks to effort of Rafał "Flauros" Góral (later a vocalist for Darzamat) and Cymeris (in latter years associated with Iperyt). A year later the band has been renamed to Mastiphal. They released one LP: ''For A Glory Of All Evil Spirits Rise For Victory'' (1996), two demos: ''Sowing Profane Seed'' (1994) and ''Promo'96''; and an EP ''Seed of Victory'' (1998), after which the band split up. Metal Mind Productions (MMP) is a Polish record label founded in 1987. The label focuses on rock and heavy metal. MMP is also publisher of ''Metal Hammer'', the largest and the oldest heavy metal magazine. As a concert agency, it organises Metalmania, the largest heavy metal event in Central–Eastern Europe, and it organised over 1000 concerts, including Monsters of Rock in Poland, 1991. Metal Mind Productions over the years became the subject of criticism from such bands as Malevolent Creation, Enter Chaos, Behemoth and Moonlight among others, for releasing unauthorized records and lack of professionalism. Massacre Records is an independent record label based in Abstatt, Germany, that specializes in bands of the heavier genres of metal. The label was founded in 1991 by Torsten Hartmann. Connected to Massacre Records is the marketing and music wholesale Metal Merchant, the sub-labels Blue Rose Records and Gutter Records for the singer/songwriter genre and for German metal respectively and the music publisher Sylvian Music. Massacre Records also distributes the albums of the gothic metal label MCM Music.
