Daryl McKenzie
Daryl McKenzie (born 1962) is an Australian musical director, composer and trombonist. McKenzie has directed the Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra since 1992 playing with artists such as Bill Watrous, James Morrison (musician), and Wilbur Wilde. He was musical director for the television show Hey Hey It's Saturday (Nine Network) from 1992 to 1999 also returning for the 2010 reunion shows. He has directed the Australian Film Institute Awards for SBS television and episodes of Dancing with the Stars (Australian TV series) and the Good Friday Appeal for the Seven Network and was musical director of Australia's Got Talent Series 1. He has arranged for the television shows Australian Idol, Young Talent Time and Carols by Candlelight. Bill Watrous
William Russell Watrous III (June 8, 1939 – July 2, 2018) was an American jazz trombonist. He is perhaps best known for his rendition of Sammy Nestico's arrangement of the Johnny Mandel ballad "A Time for Love", which he recorded on a 1993 album of the same name. A self-described "bop-oriented" player, he was well known among trombonists as a master technician and for his mellifluous sound. Biography He was born in Middletown, Connecticut, United States. Watrous' father, also a trombonist, introduced him to the instrument at an early age. While serving in the U.S. Navy, Watrous studied with jazz pianist and composer Herbie Nichols. His first professional performances were in Billy Butterfield's band. Watrous' career blossomed in the 1960s. Debra Byrne
Debra Anne Byrne (born 30 March 1957), formerly billed as Debbie Byrne, is an Australian pop singer, variety entertainer, theatre and TV actress and writer, director and choreographer of cabaret. From April 1971 to March 1975 she was a founding cast member of ''Young Talent Time''. She started her solo singing career with a cover version of " He's a Rebel" (March 1974), which peaked at No. 25 on the ''Go-Set'' Australian Singles chart. Rhonda Burchmore
Rhonda Suzanne Burchmore OAM (born 15 May 1960) is an Australian entertainer. Career Burchmore appeared as Kate in the 1982 film, '' The Pirate Movie''. Burchmore gave her first Australian theatre performance in the 1988 production of '' Sugar Babies'' opposite Garry McDonald and Broadway performer Eddie Bracken. Later that year, she had a role in the West End production of ''Sugar Babies'' opposite Mickey Rooney and Ann Miller. Whilst in the U.K, Burchmore was cast in the revival of ''Stop the World – I Want to Get Off'' as well as a role in ''Hot Shoe Shuffle''. AFL Grand Final
The AFL Grand Final is an Australian rules football match to determine the premiers for the Australian Football League (AFL) season. From its inception until 1989, it was known as the VFL Grand Final, as the league at that time was the Victorian Football League. Played at the end of the finals series, the game has been held annually since 1898, except in 1924. It is traditionally staged on the afternoon of the last Saturday in September, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The game has spawned a number of traditions and activities, which have grown in popularity nationally since the interstate expansion of the Victorian Football League to become the Australian Football League in the 1980s and 1990s.
